Land of the weavers
Chinchero is located less than an hour from Cusco. The surrounding landscape is great, changes according to the time of year. In times of drought (May to October) predominantly yellow dry plants, in the rainy season (November to April) if you're lucky, you will enjoy an immense plain intense green field, surrounded by snow-capped mountains of the sacred valley with a beautiful blue sky.
Unfortunately, this landscape in a few years we’ll don’t have be seen. Because an airport be built. So I invite you to visit soon.
The village of Chinchero, has changed in a few years. But it is still possible to visit the archaeological site; the colonial churches witnessed local stories, artisans and weavers' houses that will show the process of tissue from wool. Highlights the beautiful colors obtained dyeing with plants of the area.
Definitely go for it!
