“Heaven after a numer of days in the back woods!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

One word. BEER. After a week of portaging, sweating, paddling, the thought of a few ice cold beer is what keeps me going on the afternoon of the last day. AND fries (salt!) and a burger. I have no idea how tasty the food it, at that point it is all about wolfing down something that is desired.

“Great place for lunch.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

This place can get busy, but it's got great charm and a great view if you can get a window table. Watching the rookie canoeists launching their boats for a paddle on the lake can be a hilarious spectator sport. Have a brew and a chuckle - you can count on it.

“Good breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

While camping in Algonquin Park, we needed to find a restaurant for breakfast because it was pouring rain and I had managed to break the camp stove! So we stopped here and had a very nice breakfast. A beautiful view of Canoe Lake, friendly service and the cook made my eggs right! Hooray! A bit pricey for breakfast, but you won't be disappointed!
