As we were going through the old Sur in Lebanon we came across a beautiful yellow old building. It had a lighthouse attached to it and from this came its name, Al Fanar. We were happily surprised to find out that it was a hotel and a restaurant as well. The inside of this building was quite magnificent with the impression of sitting in a cave, it was old stones and arches with old wood and leather. The outside seating is practically on top of the water of the lovely beach in Sur, or Tyr as it is called. We had a delicious seafood meal with mouthwatering taste. Just grilled fish fillet but it was yummy. In the meantime we were fortunate to watch the sunset as we were eating. Many people were fishing around us and some were sunbathing. We were just enjoying the scene and relaxing. One thing we did not like was the long time it took them to get our meal, but with enjoying the lovely sunset we did not much minded.
