“.... a great escape !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2009

The Evason Ma'in was waaaaaaay beyond my expectations , its simply one of the best hotels i ve ever stayed in , everything was almost perfect , upon check in we got an upgrade , the room ( suite ) was spacious with two LCD screens , bathroom was ultra clean equiped with all the necessities , with the shower and the bath tub separated .
The staff are very friendly and professional , location is so quiet and sureal , a nice outdoor swimming pool is available , and natual hot springs water falls are located within the property .
The SPA was an another delight , they offer a great variety of professional massages , a sureal atmosphere , excellent service , natural hot springs , transportation ,complimentary cold, hot drinks , ice creams ....etc
Food is excellent , the breakfast buffet was perfect , as for dinner i highly recommend the panoramic dead sea restaurant .
All in All ...... if you want to getaway from all the stress and life pressures , if you want a good value for your money , if you want to have a good time , this ( boutique) hotel & SPa is the perfect getaway ....

I recently spent a weekend in the new Evason Ma'in and had a great time in this beautifully located hotel surrounded by mountains, hot springs and spectacular waterfalls. It was my first stay in a Six Senses property and I have to say they definetely got me hooked. As you step into the cool chic lobby you straight away feel a serene and tranquil atmosphere, the scent of fresh mint lies in the air and friendly staff greet you with a delicious hibiscus drink. My following two days were filled with absolutely fabulous experiences, which made my stay really stand out of the usual short weekend breaks in a beach resort. Highly recommandable is a trip to the dead sea and a pampering spa treatment, including a jump into the natural hot spring pool of the spa.
On thursday the hotel organises a traditional beduin dinner in a fantastic setting which also should not be missed, and who is an early bird should make sure to book a yoga lesson on top of the mountain hill near the hotel just next to the waterfall, an incredible location and I loved it. The restaurant, where dinner and breakfast are served has a lovely terrace with a view over the mountains and the waterfall and during sunset the place really appears magic. The food is great and fresh as most of the herbs and vegetables are grown by the hotel closeby and you really taste the difference. To sum up the Evason Ma'in is well worth a second visit and I will definetely come back.

We stayed here for two nights last month as a base for the Dead Sea area. Not wishing to stay in the several resort hotels on the shore, we were fortunate to discover Evason Six Senses through a travel forum on the Web.

Not usually our sort of hotel (or expenditure!) but we were offered two nights for the price of one which was still more than we had planned to pay, but we had the excuse that this could be our birthday celebrations!

Thank goodness for the excuse! The hotel is outstanding and the staff so professional and efficient but in a relaxed way. Not the usual pretentions and self-important attitude you often find in this category of hotel. Staff and management without exception helped to create a relaxed atmosphere throughout the place whether at reception, in the restaurant or at the pool. The talented chefs always ready to offer advice and information concerning their delicious creations.

The buffet breakfast and evening dinner were spectacular. It's all been said in earlier reviews. The rooms were spacious and spotless with all facilities, of course. Even a fresh bowl of fruit every day.

Standing under the waterfall fed by the hot springs ar just sitting in the fast-moving stream was a special treat. Thank you to all who made our stay so perfectly enjoyable.

I went to the Evason Six senses with my fiance. Set against the backdrop of the gently cascading Ma’an hot springs, Six Senses has managed to introduce a unique concept in resort design- Eastern relaxation philosophies fused with Middle Eastern hospitality and Western professionalism. It was an awesome and relaxing trip. I would definetely recommend the spa portion of the resort; they have some great massage options. A bit on the pricy side but other than that, but you do get value for your money. Check out the bedouin Zarb dinner; truly unique. I would recommend it for couples for an escape or for families looking for a unique Middle Eastern experience.

The hotel looks ugly from the outside, the building could not be teared down but apart from that everything has been renovated !
The whole hotel is redone in the Evason way/ touch: a lot of wood, candles, soft cushions, scented candles, ...

I just loved the relaxing feel and warm welcome as you enter the hotel.
You get to sit in a cosy sofa with a welcome drink and eat some dates while check-in procedure is smoothly handled.
Staff are really friendly and helpful, they all wear loose linnen shirts and trousers and slippers. No nametags on lapels but cute bracelets.

Rooms: spacious and cosy - we had mountain view with the sun hitting our windows so kept the wooden shutters closed, this also adds to a romantic atmosphere...
Sitting area, dressing, desk with internet, TV etc. everything in fact you expect of a 5* hotel.
Comfortable bed with bedside table and lamps.

Bathroom: very clean; shower, bath, amenities, towels, slippers and bathrobes.

The spa is a few minutes walk from the hotel (and doesn't open before 9 am).
The pool in the hotel is not heated and only open to hotel guests.

Chill out with some tapas on the cushions near the "brown bar" or enjoy the scenery from the "white bar" - you got to go there to find out what the difference is between the "brown" and "white" bar ;)

Restaurant: SUBLIME quality !!
The dinner buffet is presented in a lovely way and chefs are happy and proud to explain their cooking. Wish more hotels had their chefs presenting their dishes directly to clients.
We had our dinner inside and then went outside for coffee - view on the waterfall and many stars over our heads.
Breakfast is equally nice - choice of healthy stuff but also pastries et all...fresh juices, yoghurt, muesli, cheeses, meat, ...

Did not try out the Spa facilities but it looked alluring. Had a look in the afternoon and went back around 8am next morning for a swim in the mineral pool but it wasn't open yet (I asked someone passing by that I thought was staff but he didn't speak English well and said it was open...)

Extensive and cosy library with many many books and dvds.

Do take the time to spend at least 2 nights in this beautiful hotel as there is nothing else of this kind in the whole of Jordan.

Arrived and was taken to entrance on a little golf buggy, luggage transported with us. Taken and seated to check in,cold towels, drink and dates. Shown around initially by one of reception staff, then the General Manager took over. Hotel has been open 6 weeks and is like the normal beautiful tranquil Six Sense product. The staff appeared to be hand picked, we stay in lots of hotels every year but they were probably better than Four Seasons staff!! The hotel was beautiful, the springs awesome, even our 10 year old loved this hotel, although it would not be suitable for famillies if children want to run around all the time. They are just about to open a kids club where kids can paint on the walls and have lots of fun. The pool area is small but you get the usual water delivered and sorbets and the setting second to none. The restaurants are fantastic, the food superb, even the best Tapas we have ever had, so good we stayed to have more before leaving. If you want to go to there Panarama restaurant they will arrange their car, it is worth going, food and setting again super. Following night we had a Zarb meal cooked with supervision by the Bedouins and it was truly an experience as well as being delicious, although far too much food for us. It was my Birthday and the Butler and General Manager both wished me a Happy Birthday which i thought was lovely. When we got back to our room there was a super cake with my name on which was as one would expect "to die for"! The room, we had a spa room (4 rooms in total, 90 square metres with a huge terrace) which was outstanding and one set of our terrace doors opened to the view of the spring, breath taking! (room 217)
Eventually when we checked out, (after indulging in more Tapas) we were taken by their car to ours, where all of our luggage was laid out beautifully in the boot, better than i could have done.
Would i go back, of course, when is the question. Everything was excellent but i was very impressed with the truly wonderful hand picked staff, the General Manager was also very attentive.
They do lots of walks, you can see the Dead Sea and they are in the process of aquiring there own piece so guests can go, they have lots of trips, which we have done before (been 6 times to Jordan now and will move there in July) but it is such a beautiful country it would be a shame to miss out some visits, they have a fantastic spa, library, conference facilities, what more could i say, it is expensive, but what you pay is worth every penny. They do have their own website.
