“Relaxed evenings with good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2015 NEW

We ate here 2 of our 3 nights in Lochinver. It serves tapas type dishes so you can eat as much or as little as you want. The food is of excellent quality and seafood so fresh. Can highly recommend the smoked haddock with bashed potatoes, Tain truckle cheese and topped with a poached egg. Mouthwatering!! Good friendly service on both occasions

“Excellent fresh Scottish seafood tapas and high-quality pub food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2015 NEW

This is a lovely place to eat after a day exploring scenic Assynt. The service is excellent, prices very reasonable and - most importantly - the food is delicious and inventive.

“Excellent Pub and Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2015 NEW

This little pub sits in the main street of the lovely working fishing port of Lochinver and so is in a unique position for views and also for lovely fresh seafood. The pub has recently undergone major refurbishment and they have done a cracking job with log stoves and beautiful sea views. I found the pub to be quirky and warm and cosy. I had a small lunch and was very satisfied with the quality of the food. It is almost like a little tapas bar and I loved the fact that everything was written on this huge blackboard although if the small pub was busy it might be difficult to see. The restaurant which leads through from an archway offers not only a large cosy stove but magnificent views up to the harbour and beyond. I would definitely return here on a future visit to Lochinver and the Ginger Crunch was brilliant. Well done for creating this little gem making it a stylish addition to this tiny village.

“Hidden suprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2015 NEW

Thought this was 'just a small pub' until we ate there. The food is fresh, stylish modern Scottish food - and well presented. Good beers too!

“Great Little Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2015 via mobile

Cozy pub on the road side, leading through to a dining room at the back. Love their take on food with the large and small plates reminiscent of tapas, but using brilliant local produce. We had three small plates between us but my husband found his smoked haddock on crushed mash more than enough. I loved the citrus cured scallops with garlic and chilli dressing, they melted in the mouth beautifully followed by that hit of flavours. The crab cake was a revelation too, but the scallops won out for me. We shared a creme brulee and berries which was light and yet rich all at the same time, delicious. The staff were friendly and I managed to sample a couple of Skye ales during the evening. Perfect
