The food here is a cut above the average and therefore, quite rightly that bit pricier, which may account for the low turn out on the weekend evening of our visit. Menu Del Dia here is 33 euros per person. There is an excellent carta ( a la carte ) to choose from as well.
The food was absolutely first class. It was earthy, traditional and beautifully cooked. Our conversation stalled slightly as we watched the prawns being done in the fascinating ( and spotlessly clean ) open view kitchen. Seconds after the chef got them off the grill, they were in front of us. They were delicious. A great steak and chips and Castillian lamb with wonderful oven baked potatoes and peppers completed our mains. The lamb was exceptional.
We didn't need dessert, although they sounded great and a little bit different to the usual ones on offer.
Service was polite, efficient and attentive.
Really good and worth the little bit extra.
