“A romantic retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We stayed only one night at this sweet and friendly hotel, but we are happily considering going back next year, and we are recommending it to all of our friends.
The location is the best: In the middle of the village, with a garden exit next to the train station and with walking distance to all amenities. - But still surprisingly quiet!
The room we stayed in was delightful, with a lovely bathroom and a large sunny, private terrace. What luxury!
The service was excellent, and Alicia seemed to be genuinely interested in assisting and making the stay as memorable as possible.
The breakfast was a dream in a romantic garden setting and the perfect ending to a nice stay!
We enjoyed the whole experience! Thank you Alicia & Ca’n Isabel! <3

Excellent location, nice breakfast in the garden. Just steps from the train or tram and the town square but very quiet. We had the romantic room which was the only available, very comfortable bed and a roll top bath in the middle of the room. We stayed before at Can Roses and apart from the pool and garden at the latter we thought this much better and about half the price. We had to park outside town at the end of the road and walk the 10 minutes in which was no problem.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June, we would definitely recommend it to others. There are around 5 bedrooms (and having been cheeky enough to view other rooms) we can confirm that our room wi the terrace was the best one of all! The rooms were decorated in a "French chateau" style with toile de jouey bed linen. Tiled flooring throughout and Annick Goutal toiletries in the larger than average bathroom. Our room had an enormous terrace with 2 sun loungers which was perfect for pre-breakfast sunbathing.the location itself is extremely convenient as you literally fall into the garden entrance from the train station (but there is hardly any noise). Breakfast was very balanced and just "right". Flor (house keeper/manager/chef/tourist information etc) was simply wonderful and very very helpful! Only drawback (well 2 actually) the wi Fi did not work anywhere in our room or outside and ONLY German and French channels on TV. All locals seemed to have a book of Tram tickets to the port, worth investigating as we paid 8 euros each way every day!!!!

This hotel was simply lovely. The whole building is lovingly decorated and the rooms are clean and pretty. Perfect for a short break. Staff were friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Our Spanish is non existent but we had no problems communicating. The breakfast was a real treat. A feast, served in the garden, and staff were very relaxed about timing. Great location too- right in the middle of Soller, next to the Trams to Port Soller, and the Train to Palma and a few seconds from the main square where there are lots of restaurants, but inside the building is very peaceful. Parking is not really a problem, you can't park outside the hotel, but you can park on Calla Isabel itself further up from the hotel, or on any of the large municpal carparks in the town. Taxi rank is nearby and reasonable for journeys to Port Soller/ Palma etc.

C'an Isabel is a gorgeous 19th century house romantically decorated in the heart of Soller, Mallorca.

We planned a last minute escape to the sun for our first wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a more perfect hotel. The staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. In spite of my husband and I only speaking a little Spanish, communication was not an issue - the service at C'an Isabel is impeccable. Every morning a delicious breakfast (especially if prepared by Pepe!) is served in the delightful garden, only a stone's throw from the central squares of Soller.

The rooms are elegant with a quiet but exquisite attention to detail. We stayed in both the Red Room and the Blue Room, both wonderful and extremely comfortable.

We would highly recommend this jewel of Mallorca. It is an excellent base from which to explore this stunning part of the island.

To start with the parking for this place is tricky. As the lady running reception could only speak Spanish it was difficult to understand what we needed to do. Our room was lovely actually with a big terrace complete with sun loungers. It was disappointing that the Wi-Fi or UK channels on TV were not working. Also I found the fact that everything in reception was for sale a bit strange. As there is only one lady running it - we naturally had no help with our bags and communication was limited as our Spanish is not strong. Breakfast was OK - fairly basic but good coffee and eggs. Location wise then you cant fault it. Then came along the end bit. As per other reviews we were asked to pay in cash due to the machine not working. This is obviously a complete lie. It was annoying to have to go to the cash point just before leaving. My feeling on this place is that it was opened with a lot of love but someone somewhere has let it go. For the same price, we have stayed in places with so much more to offer. A real shame.
