“Great value and perfect location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2011

Accommodation in soller is relatively limited and this is a good standard, typical tourist hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. We were lucky enough to be right at the front of the hotel and had the most spectacular view of the bay from our balcony. Staff were very friendly and efficient. One small point to note - our superior room had a fridge, but you have to pay an additional 20 euros to have it unlocked and plugged in!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the sea front .

Another return visit to this exellent hotel. We loved our spacious room and the fantastic views from the large balcony. Situation is perfect for walking in the surrounding Tramuntana mountains and visits to places like Deia, Valdemosa and others.
Restaurant light and airy with well placed tables. Food wholesome and plentiful. Staff friendly and helpful, even when very busy. We really appreciated their attention.
Room was cleaned prompt and efficiently, without leaving that dreadful `just cleaned` smell we found in other places.
We very much enjoyed our stay and will back again.

We stayed at the Eden for a week at the end of March. The staff on reception were very friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. The room was great - bedroom, sitting/TV area and bathroom with a double hand basins, always perfectly clean. The only down size was the "double bed" was two singles pushed together. The food was excellent. We booked bed and breakfast thinking we would eat out some nights, we never did. Each night the menu was different with over five choices for main and sweet. For 12 Euro each was excellent value. The Hotel was an excellent base for walking in the surrounding Mountains.

We would have preferred a sea view but the view to the back was mainly of a wooded hillside which was not so bad. (We don't know how to secure a room with a sea view, maybe it is the luck of the draw.

The only down side was a complete lack of car parking at the Hotel or in the Town itself unless you could afford the multi-storey, which we couldn't.

Altogether a most enjoyable stay.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was quite small but was adequate and clean. We were very impressed with the breakfasts and evening meals. We had thought we might eat out on some nights but there was no need as the choice and quality of meals was first class. The hotel is ideally located on the sea front with excellent views across the bay. It is also quite close to the bus stops and tram stop. It has a nice outside pool but we found it far too cold to swim. At the time of our visit the bay road/promenade was being reconstructed and the building works were quite noisy at times. However this did not affect us too much as we were out walking most days.

Room Tip: Tram to Soller then train to Palma good fun

Short 4 night stay, not our first in Port De Soller, but first in this hotel. Excellent location on sea front with easy access to the whole bay and your transport needs. Service was good at all levels and staff were helpful and friendly. All areas are clean and well presented. Bar service is good and staff willing to serve you around the excellent pool area. This area was fairly quiet ( early October ) until late afternoon as there are a lot of walkers etc. in the resort at this time of year. I would imagine in peak season it could be rather more difficult to get the space and sunbeds you desire. NOTE there are signs in the lifts and around the pool stating that reservation of sunbeds is not allowed ( don`t know if it works though ). Rooms are large with good bathroom facilities, massive balconies and air con. fridges etc all available at a small extra charge. We stayed on B&B basis and were impressed by the extent of the buffet breakfast. Bacon, eggs, tomatoes plus one other ( changeable ) for hot options and a big selection of fruit, yoghurts, breads, ham, cheeses, preserves etc. etc. for cold options. Couldn`t fault the food. However, yet again, my only complaint are the drinks. Coffee that tastes as if it has been sifted through the sewer system and powdered orange juice ( and I presume other fruit juices ) I can`t believe that an island that produces so many oranges can`t manage to get its hotels to juice some of them !!!! We changed to tea and as long as you put 2 or 3 bags in the teapot it was o.k. The dining room is bright and airy and staff are quick to provide and clear away. We managed a £50 a night for the room B&B from Travel Republic which I think was tremendous value. Would definately return if the price was right.
