“Have stayed 4 times over the last 14 months, brilliant reasonably priced!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

My husband and I have stayed at Hotel Cal Bisbe 4 times over the last 14 months, we love the place, cant seem to stay stay, have fallen in love with mallorca, and this hotel! We have got to know the staff quite well and are always well looked after. The pool area and setting of the garden and pool is absolutely beautiful and you can see the outside of the beautiful hotel building with balconies overlooking the pool whilst relaxing around it. The breakfast is very good with alot of choice and the staff are always more than happy to assist you or bring extra coffees.

The only down side to the hotel is the parking isn't on site, it is a short walk down the street to reach the hotel from the carpark and ypif you don't know where you are going then it could be frustrating and hard to find. At the time of booking ask them to send you a map of where the carpark is in relation to the hotel. In saying that though often hotels in Europe don't come with free parking and this one is free so can't be complained about.

Pricing is very good at This hotel, balcony rooms are €130 per night and non balcony are €115, best priced value for money hotel in Soller, and we did do our homework on accommodation before the first time we stayed. Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms on ground floor have easy access to the pool, straight out your balcony door

My husband and I stayed at the C'al Bisbe for two weeks in June. Our taxi driver had problems locating the hotel, as we arrived on a Saturday morning when some of the streets are closed to traffic because of the weekly market. However, once it had finally been reached it was a delight, after busy airports and the bustling town, to enter the cool, calm atmosphere of the hotel and this is how it remained throughout our stay.

Because it is a small hotel we had booked the previous year. Juan, the owner, checked us in quickly and handed us the key to the room we had requested - a third floor room overlooking the pool.

On entering the room it did not initially have the 'wow' factor, being furnished in traditional dark wood, which was slightly scuffed in places through wear. However, once we had unpacked and settled in we found it to be clean, spacious and comfortable. There was sufficient storage facilities and adequate lighting. There was a mini-bar/fridge and a free digital safe.

There was a small balcony with two chairs and a table. The view of the well-kept garden and pool with the town and mountains in the distance was stunning and we spent many a happy hour there during our stay.

The attractive bathroom was a good size and two large containers of hand/hair/bodywash were supplied, which we prefer to the tiny individual toiletry items provided by many hotels We hired bathrobes for a returnable deposit of 30 euros.

The public areas are larger than they appear on the website and have real character. We particularly loved the outdoor dining terrace and it was delightful eating breakfast there each morning.

We thought that, as it is a small hotel, breakfasts would be quite basic, but they exceeded our expectations. In addition to the wonderful fresh orange juice, which is found everywhere in Soller, there were other juices, fresh fruit, cereals, a variety of lovely fresh breads and croissants, cold meats, cheeses and some local products such as sobrasada. There was a table of sweet items and a few hot dishes. We are still trying to lose the extra pounds we gained as a result of the beautiful lemon cake that we couldn't resist each day! Hot drinks are brought to your table promptly when you enter the dining room.

We ate at the hotel several times in the evening. This was a delight. The service was first class, the food and wine were excellent and the atmosphere on the candlelit terrace was perfect. We would have eaten there more often than we did but the menu, which was changed daily, often didn't appear until late in the afternoon and by then we had made other arrangements.

We fell in love with the town of Soller and the surrounding area and will undoubtedly return. After looking around at the other hotels we felt that for character and location we had certainly made the best choice and, should reviews remain positive, we would have no hesitation in returning to the C'al Bisbe and recommending it to others.

Room Tip: The views over the pool are stunning and it is worth paying the extra.

The hotel is very conveniently situated near the centre of Soller, with excellent facilities, comfortable rooms, excellent cleanliness and spectacular views over Soller towards the surrounding hills, mountains and towards the coast.

The breakfasts at the Ca'l Bisbe hotel were excellent, with a wide choice.

The dinners we found to be quirky, with odd mixtures of food, nor were they substantial. Of particular note was the mint soup with pineapple dessert, which turned out to be a sweet mint sauce with a few pieces of strawberry in a soup plate!...

However, this 'dinner deficit' was compensated for by the facilities, excellent situation and views from the hotel!

In response to an earlier review - yes, they do replace towels if you place the used ones in the bath. They just don't advertise the fact with labels stuck to the bathroom walls - it's taken as an accepted international convention.

My Husband and I stayed at Ca'l Bisbe for 3 nights on our honeymoon in August, and loved it there.

A friendly, smallish hotel, conveniently placed in the town of Soller. It's location was very handy for when we wondered around the town, and it was easy to find on foot.

The room was a good size and the bed was wonderfully comfortable, I have never experienced such perfect pillows before, would love to know where they purchased them from! Also, essentially, the air-con unit was virtually silent, we had the best sleep while we stayed here.

Breakfast was self service, which we weren't informed of on our first morning, we ended up asking other guests. However there was a good variety of food and it was all nice quality.

In the day time, we either explored the local towns or relaxed by the poolside at Ca'l Bisbe. There were enough sun-loungers for all, and the pool was a decent size. The bar snack food was also worth a try, particularly their club sandwich.

We ate in the restaurant on one evening, the menu stays the same for a week so we didn't fancy doing it again. The food however, was absolutely delicious and the service excellent. We ate a 5 course taster menu, as the food was served the waiter explained what the dish was and how it was cooked. Every course was amazing, and we would definitely recommend that others visiting Soller eat here. The atmosphere was calm and friendly, and the waiting staff were very accommodating.

We would love to visit again. A useful tip though...find the car park BEFORE going to the hotel. The streets around the hotel are very difficult to drive around, we had wished we'd been told about the car park prior to arriving.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room, which meant we could easily stroll from our room to the pool without wal...

Hotel ca'l Bisbe is in an excellent position for exploring the lovely town of soller. The hotel is very pretty with a lovely pool area. The staff are excellent, they manage to be unobtrusive yet attentive at the same time. If you like peace and quiet this is the place for you.
The down side to the hotel is that we found the beds to be the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in! We also felt that the breakfast let the hotel down. Having read other reviews saying this we thought that maybe the reviewers were being a bit fussy but they weren't ! We didn't have brilliant weather so sat inside the hotel more than we would have liked and would have liked it if there had been some more comfy armchairs to relax in.
We stayed for 4 nights and found this was long enough due to poor sleep.

Room Tip: A room on a higher floor is better for the view.

We were delighted with our choice of hotel in Soller. The Hotel has been beautifully restored and offers a wonderful retreat just a few minutes by foot from one of the most famous cultural highlights on the island. The pool area is stunning- just like the photos displayed on the web. Breakfast was sufficient, but the service couldn't have been better- very couteous and friendly - One felt quite at home! Would definately recommend this hotel to families and singles alike.

Both towels had Big holes, One also had stains on it. The shower did bot work properly, the reception already knew about it but did not care.
Small garden, the pool area was crowded as a consequence. No proper acces by car, widespread in Soller, so come by public transport or Taxi.
Disappointing.
