Since they revamped the sea front at Soller and made it a pedestrian walkway the number of beachfront eateries has grown significantly. We have been visiting Soller for twenty years and applaud the changes to the promenade as it has made things safer for strolling NAND enjoying the stunning harbour.
But the increase in choice of restaurants means that you need to sift carefully to get good food and a fair price,
Our guide book lists El Pirata as one if the better harbour front eateries but we'd not eaten there before. We took the plunge and were well pleased. We had a good table on the harbour front (good for watching the world go by). Our smiley waitress was helpful and attentive. I had the sardines and despite a recent review on this page they were fresh and we'll cooked with a great veg accompaniment that was tasty. My wife had the tuna steak which was cooked to her specific request at the suggestion of the waitress. We enjoyed a good local rose wine and the bill was reasonable.
Top tip - if you want a harbour table then book earlier in the day. It gets very busy after around 9.30. Another tip, take a stroll round the harbour pre dinner and see some stunning boats.
