We visit Pollenca every summer and have visited Clivia every year for 15 years- its become a pilgrimage. The head waiter and his deputy are so welcoming in a restrained way, which we like, the restaurant itself is beautiful (recently renovated, more modern now, I liked it better the old way but thats just my opinion - its lovely now too). It is quite a formal restaurant but even when the children were really small, the staff made a genuine fuss and there was no suggestion at all that they weren't welcome. I celebrated my 50th at Clivia a few years ago - there was never any question that it would be spent anywhere else - we were offered champagne on the house and the children were given home made smoothie cocktails, the waiters idea - without us even asking. Unlike some of the other reviewers, possibly because we always go for lunch, we tend to have the paella ( which is gorgeous) rather than the more signature dishes. I am surprised to hear that some have had poor experiences, because we always love our Sunday lunch at Clivia! We would highly recommend.
