Accomodation in this hotel was provided by our tour company (Chat Tours, who is a sister company of the Amalia hotel chain) as part of the 2 days 1 night Argolis tour from Athens.
We opted for a "first class" hotel so the hotel option was an upgrade from the usual 3 stars hotel.
When we got into the hotel, we were quite surprised that it is sort of like in the middle of nowhere. Found out subsequently that the main town centre is about 2.5km away and can be reached via taxi (cost €8) or by public bus (€1.60 one way). Note you will need to walk about 500 meters from the hotel to the main road if you want to take the bus.
The hotel gives you an impression of a small resort. The lobby area was pretty impressive. The staff at the main counter was very friendly taking time to explain our lunch, dinner and breakfast options (as part of the tour, breakfast is provided and we have the option to include either lunch or dinner in the package).
We were given a room at the end of 1 of the hotel wings. It was quite a walk to get to the room showing how big the hotel actually is. Our room was very nice. Bed was nice and comfortable and the washroom was nice and big with decent toiletries. A safe is provided to store your valuables and the room also has a mini bar fridge. A 21 inch LCD tv is also in the room. Only small comment is the room lacks coffee making facilities and a kettle.
We opted for dinner to be included in the package. Before dinner we had a swim in their pool which is of decent size. Pretty relaxing and the pool was not overly packed.
Dinner was buffet style and has good enough options. Service was pretty good too with staff paying good attention to your progress and clearing your plates when required. Note, drinks are not included but a jug of water was provided. Breakfast options is also fairly similar to other hotels we have been in Greece so good enough for us.
WIFI is also provided free of charged and contrary to earlier reviews is available in the entire hotel. Connection is pretty fast (good enough to facetime the family) although it does get disconnected at times and will need to be reconnected. While it is abit of a pain, the connection is still much better than many hotels.
Overall, this is a pretty decent hotel especially if you don't mind the short travel to town. Definitely a good and peaceful place to relax and perhaps spend the weekend.
