We were in a good mood and were told for a nice dinner Kipos offers good greek dishes. First of all the good tables were all put together waiting for guests with 'reservations'. We decided to sit down, we were four of us' and the table was just big enough. The stuff was arrogant and unfriendly and the food was inacceptable. Also we had ordered greek dishes they were made without the usual kick and look. Also the tast was below, anything we had before. The chicken had the size of a turkey and it's meat was dry - all back to the kitchen!
If you spend you last evening in Napflio, I recommend you to go anywhere else, it can only be better.

“Excellent location & view. Decent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

They recenty moved to Filellinon Square, just a hundred meters away from their previous location which is a huge plus in terms of view. Kind of noisy in the summer with all the children playing around on the square, but you really can't beat the view. Not to many dishes to choose from on the menu, but everything they serve is tasty.

“A safe bet with very good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

During our trip to Nafplion this July/August we went twice to this restaurant. For a seafront restaurant it is well priced, clean and the portions in general are big enough to satisfy the biggest of appetites. Starters tend to be around €5 and main courses can be anything from around €7 for a big pork chop cooked on the BBQ with chips although on average, I would say around €11/12 for a typical Greek meal. Bread is charged at €0,60 per person whether you like it or not and Rose house wine was €3,50 for 500ml. Really tasty food and great service. Each time we went they would give us a plate of melon and water melon on the house. If eating in Nafplion I would always consider having it on my places to consider.

As a tip, order the halloumi starter as it is delicious. Basically it is a whole halloumi cut through the middle and roasted with a large slice of tomato and then with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. So simple but very tasty. The kokkoras ( rooster ) with pappardelle pasta in tomato salsa is also very tasty as is the beef (moshari) with aubergines.

“Super "sea-front location", average food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Kyphos is a good place to eat on one's first night in Nafplio in order to take in the "bustling resort sea-front ambience" of the town. From here you have splendid views of both the Bourtzi (out to sea) and the Palamidi (on the surrounding hilltop) fortresses (both lit up at night) and so forth. Prices are average for such a place in such a location, service friendly, and food is also "O.K". You won't go away raving about the food, but you won't go away thinking it was bad and that you had been "done" as a tourist, either, and you WILL have enjoyed the ambience of the location!
