“Relaxing hotel near Nafplio.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We stayed in a studio at Ktima Anastasia during 9 nights. It's less than 10 minutes drive from the city of Nafplio. The area is very quiet. The studio itself has good facilities: a kitchenette with 3 hot plates and a little oven, a coffeemaker, big fridge, shower with curtain and hot water 24 hours, airconditioning (which we didn't need in May) and a very big terrace (partly covered) overlooking the olive garden. Vicky was very welcoming, and if you would need something else, you could always ask her. There are several mountain bikes available at free use (e.g. to go to the village center, about 1 km away from the studios). The mattresses on the bed were very, very comfortable; the only thing that did us awake a few times were some dogs in the neighbourhood barking in the middle of the night. In the village (Nea Tiryntha) you have 2 bakeries, some little supermarkets, a butcher,.....)
I would recommend this place for those who want to stay in the area of Nafplio but out of the city center, especially for those who have a car.

We really, really enjoyed our stay with Ktima Anastasia. Vicky is amazing. We kept changing our plans until the day before. Not only did she put up with our inconsistency, but bent over backwards to make sure we had the most enjoyable stay possible. And we did. The whole property is very clean and well maintained, and the small apartment we stayed in was delightful.

The only thing is that even though Vicky offered to pick us up at the bus stop, its really best to have a car if you want to get the most out of your experience in Nafplion. Still, its well worth it and Vicky makes her hotel truly wonderful. I'd definitely stay here again.

These lovely roomy apartments are very well maintained and situated not too far from town by car, in a quiet location. The proud owner, Vicky, is very welcoming and accomodating. Her knowlegde of Nafplion and its surroundings was extremely helpful and made getting around much easier. Vicky should be the tourist information hub of Nafplion as she is more than happy to advise on places to go and things to do.
You definitley get value for money as she has the best rates going.
Would highly recommend these fully self-contained units to anybody visting Nafplion. We will definitley be staying here again.

The apartment is located about five to seven minute drive outside of Nafplio in a place called New Tyrins, which is a separate town but really more like a quiet suburb of Nafplio. While there are buses that take you in, you definitely want a car if you are staying here. Having said that, if you have a car, this is a great place to stay. It is quiet, clean, comfortable (AC, Internet, TV--if that matters--a little kitchen area and refrigerator) and a view of the Palamini Fortress off in the distance. And it is only about a kilometer from the Tyrins Acropolis, one of the most important and best preserved Mycenean citadels. The valley that surrounds Nafplio is populated by lots of small towns, all of which are near by in a car. For instance, Argos is only about a ten minute drive, Mycenae is about twenty minutes, Karathona Beach (the beach on the other side of Nafplio) is ten minutes and even Corinth is only forty-five minutes away. Thus, this location is an ideal base for car travelers.

While this is called an apartment, it is more like a hotel room with a little kitchen area. There are a few rooms in the complex. Don't expect to be totally alone in your own place. But we rarely saw anybody else and while the manager lives with family on the premises, they were not noisy and were quite pleasant.

I should say something about the woman who runs the apartments: she is kind, as accommodating as you can ask for, and keeps everything in good order. She doesn't speak English very well, but between the two of you, she will make sure that if there are any concerns or problems she will help you. She called information for us to get the number of our next stay and then called them to let them know when we were arriving, she did laundry for us (although that isn't part of the service), and provided a map and explanations of how to get around. She obviously takes pride in trying to make your vacation as good an experience as it can be.

The place is a little tricky to find your first time. It seems remote at first until you drive into town a second time and learn the roads, and then you see it's actually quite easy and you are quite near a major motor way.

All in all, I would highly recommend this apartment: easy access to Nafplio (by car), easy access to major roads, quite and comfy and a very nice manager.

Room Tip: Have a car and arrive in the daytime so you can see the layout of the roads; once you orient yoursel...

A perfect villa, some distance from the town center ( a car is a must).
Clean, well eqipped rooms and a kitchen and ,what was the greatest attraction for the child, a playground, everything surrounded by olive trees. Thanks for the unforgettable stay.
