“Excellent rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

The room was simple and elegant, spacious, quiet, with a nice balcony next to a garden full of plants. The kitchen is fully equiped and the bathroom is big and clean. What surprized me the most is the high quality of the mattresses, which is not something that I am used to seeing in greek hotels. Great place to relax in beautiful Kardamili.

We stayed at the Anniska from the 14th to the 21st of July. The Hotel is extremely well located, right on the sea for easy swimming access and cooling breezes yet moments from the village and the shops and tavernas.
Our apartment was 101c, located in the second block from the sea and on the ground floor. It had a large living room with sofa bed, dining area and small kitchenette. There was a bathroom with proper shower and a good sized bedroom. There are air conditioning units in both the living room and bedroom which was a huge bonus in the heat of July. The furnishings and decor are simple but there is everything you could need. Another bonus is that the water in the village comes from the hills so you can drink it safely and in fact at every restaurant and bar you will always be given cold water. You will have the bed linen changed every third day but the cleaner will come to empty the bins (very important given the plumbing situation in Greece) every day.
The Anniska also supplies beach towels which leave you more room in your suitcase!
If you need anything at the Anniska the owners and their team are very happy to help you. Although the only thing we needed was a replacement wine glass and to leave the keys for our hire car.
We had to check out at 12pm on our last day but were made welcome until our departure at 5.30. We had access to the pool at Liakoto and somewhere to shower and change.
If you are travelling with children you would probably want to book at the Liakoto for the easy access to the pool but it is only a very short walk from the Anniska if you can't get a studio or apartment there.

We stayed at Anniska for the third time last August. Despite it being hot there was always some cool shade on either one of our two balconies, the shoreline terrace or terrace bar. The apartment air con was very effective too.
The charming hosts make you feel most welcome, nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are helpful and customer focussed.
The village has everything you need with many great tavernas. Nothing can be nicer than a late night drink in one of the many main street bars watching Greek life. There is lots to see in the village, historical buildings, mountain walks etc.
We will return again just to watch the amazing sunsets from the hotel terrace bar.

Hotel Anniska is right on the sea, & the terrace is the kind of place you can just hang out on all day & into the night. We enjoyed relaxing mornings on the terrace checking our email & posting photos, & gorgeous sunsets with our favorite bottle of wine! The staff is first rate, after other Greek hotels we felt that we were very well cared for! Rooms do not face the sea, but do face a lovely little garden area. The area is rocky bt there is a path down to the sea & a ladder to access the water. There are also beach chairs & umbrellas. I believe all rooms have kitchenettes. We got wonderful breakfast rolls from the bakery & a tiny market is a half block away. Our only complaint was the cost of having them do our laundry--it was quite high. Enjoy this delightful little town & wonderful accomodation!

A comfortable studio in a quiet corner of the best village in the Mani with each day welcomed by the soft susurrus of the sea and a blackbird in full song, what more could one ask for. Well, security, a warm welcome, easy parking, excellent housekeeping, handy shops would be nice. And these you certainly get at Anniska. There is coffee and cake in the lounge overlooking the sea. There is no sandy beach, but this is no hardship and there are steps down to the clear and clean sea. It’s the ideal place as a simple self-catering base for exploring the Mani.

Room Tip: Check for sea view and morning or evening sun.
