“Friendly and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

We recently stayed at the Hotel Seefelderhof and found it ideal as a base for a week's walking holiday. The accommodation wasn't the best but it was very clean. The food was acceptable and the staff were generally very friendly. The only exception was one surly waiter no doubt the same one mentioned in an earlier review by Susan W. There are many hotels in Seefeld and I'm not sure I'd rush back to this one.

Good location in Seefeld. Easy 5 min walk into the centre of town. Handy for the ski buses etc. Great service - the staff really look after you and are very courteous. awesome food - seriously top munchies served in the evening. Nice and clean rooms............................................................... Worth noting: an Austrian twin is actually a double bed.

My husband and I have just returned from a week at this hotel. We had a wonderful time spoiled for me only by one strongly opinionated German waiter who had no problem in saying that he didn't like the English. He went on to demonstrate this by his actions. We couldn't fault the rest of the staff - they were great. Hotel is in a good location, food excellent.

just on the edge of town, 5 minute walk to the centre. BB, evening meals, 6 courses. packed lunches, great value for money. a huge choice every night, great staff. my waiter enjoyed an arm wrestle every day.........rooms on the 3rd floor had very low ceilings, and very small baths.tea and cake in the afternoons. road not so busy..

We stopped in in Seefeld by accident on a drive down to the Dolomites. Stopped because of wet weather (even though it was the end of June not their fault). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we were not to fussed about which room we had as only intended staying a night, we stayed two as one of us was slightly unwell next day (nothing to do with food in the hotel). We quickly realised that this was mostly a package holiday hotel. As we stayed two nights we can say the room was not large and unfortunately due to the inclement weather it was cold, we did ask if they could up the heating as out in the corridors and in the public rooms it was nice and warm. According to reception they turn off the heating in July, I did point out that it was June still, no room heating came on. The food was better than expected and because we were a walk in we had a table on the European side, it did seem as if the UK clients where all on one side as pointed out in other reviews.
Seefeld itself well I was here many many years ago when it was a proper Tirolean village with hotels, now it is hotels in the Tirol but I think they call that progress, sadly I would not rush back.

Just returned from a weeks holiday in Seefeld which we had booked through Inghams. The hotel itself is conveniently situated about 5 minutes from the centre of Seefeld but is on a busy road. We had a room just off the road but I have to say it was no real issue.
The hotel itself is traditional Austrian advertised as four star (which I think is questionable!) Our room was adequate, was clean and towels changed on a daily basis.
The food was excellent and the staff made every effort to make you feel welcome. The only downside was the way that the waiting staff rushed you through your meal. No time to savour the food or relax over a bottle of wine !! I also got the impression that they favoured their German guests over the British but that may well be a language thing! The seating arrangements in the restaurant were not particularly good either. We were sat on a small table between two other sets of guests with very little room to move. Other British guests were sat on similar tables in the same part of the restaurant. However German/Swiss etc guests were sat on much larger tables in other parts of the restaurant area giving them a little privacy should they need it!
As for Seefeld a lovely little town/village but very quiet with very little to do. During the time that we stayed it was full of pensioners so not recommended for youngsters (wait for the winter and the snow) The weather was also abysmal during our visit at the end of June which may well have tainted my report a little.
