“A delight to return and have an even better experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Returning to a hotel after a lengthy time can be a disappointment but in this case the experience was even better the second time around. Once again the accommodation and the food was excellent, but what made the difference was the way in which the hotel was run - true hospitality from all of the team. We will be back for a third stay and with a far shorter gap.

I cannot praise this hotel enough, the staff are probably the most friendly and helpful people we have ever met. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the ambience is excellent, if anything could be added to the rooms it would be a rubber bath mat to stand on while showering. The location is perfect and the resort has got to be one of the prettiest in Austria with dramatic scenery and beautiful colourful flower beds everywhere. We have enjoyed our holiday very much and will almost certainly return.

Stayed here end June with Crystal lakes and mountains. Chose it because of convenient location and good reviews. Was a toss up between here and a higher graded property which would have been a 20 min walk to town and really glad I made the right choice. Large room, balcony, nice food, friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced bar, fabulous location. Ok, doesn't have a fancy pool and sauna, but there is a sauna which was great after a long walking day and they will give you a voucher during the week for the town pool which is lovely and well worth a visit.

Had a great time, Seefeld is also lovely with lots of local walks and great surrounding scenery. Well worth getting the roshuttle express on a clear day as views as fabulous. We walked to the summit from seefeld and paths were fine, but you need good hiking shoes and reasonable fitness.

Highly recommend visiting king Ludwiks Castle - its amazing! We did the Thomson trip and found it good value. Great scenery on the way, lots of interesting commentary from the rep - and great ice cream stop on way back!

Easy and worthwhile to visit innsbrukk by train. Would have went up cable car but weather not great so wandered round old town then visited Ambrass palace - much better than expected and worth going in - will take 2-3 hours to see all the exhibits, or longer if it's a rainy day!

And you must must must try apple strudel - think I'm addicted....

Great holiday and would happily return.

Our first visit to Austria and stayed at this hotel towards the end of June 2014. Very impressed with everything about Hotel Haymon, Seefeld and the area generally. We would rate the hotel much higher than 3*, very clean, well located and a warm welcome awaits all visitors. We had a vegetarian in our party who was well looked after and without fuss; all the food was of a high standard and served with a smile. Seefeld offers easy access to Innsbruck as well as many pretty local towns and villages by bus, train or on foot. Difficult to imagine the contrast to winter in the ski season (having never been skiing) but inspired to return to find out! Many thanks to the Hiltpolt family and excellent staff for a fabulous week.

Our second stay here and our first Summer holiday in Austria. The hotel was still as good as we remembered from our stay in January. The food was excellent, eggs or buffet for breakfast, and a four course dinner. The cuisine varied from traditional Austrian to Italian, with good quality local fish, meat and vegetables.
The room - the same we stayed in previously - was clean, maids came each day, with a lovely bathroom, and balcony. All the staff again were outstanding. Special thanks again to Michaela who helped with our booking and transfers from the airport.
The hotel, along with a few others provide a walking guide (Alex) on four days. We found this a great way to discover the local sights and walks. We met some lovely people here who made our stay even more enjoyable.

Room Tip: All rooms have a balcony, the ones at the back look out over the ski slopes.

Booked a week at Haymon as part of a Thomson Lakes and Mountains package on the strength of glowing TA Reviews and Thomson Gold Award. I concur with all favourable comments.

Many plus points:- central location therefore very handy for train station (3 minutes walk) and wide choice of places for coffee/ice cream/ snacks/ladies hairdressers (important for Mrs WS-30 euros for Wash and Blow!).Friendly and obliging non-stuffy service from all members of omni-present owning Family Hiltpolt and staff. Delightful people all.

Our room.We got what we asked Thomson for.Non-smoking (turns out all Austrian hotels now ban smoking in bedrooms which came as a surprise because smoking seems to be a national pastime),quiet and 1st floor.Despite being lowish category it was spacious (en suite especially) and had a furnished balcony. No air-con and we experienced hot weather; in the early mornings the room was very warm so we appreciated the windows on 2 sides to create a through-draught.

Meals. Not quite the consistently best dinners I have enjoyed in Austrian hotels but nicely presented and hot food served hot.8/10.

For what we paid this package represented remarkable value for money the hotel and resort being major plus points worthy of high praise.

We met some lovely English people in this hotel who were excellent company at dinner,in the bar, and around and about.

Loved it all.

My first visit to this hotel, prompted by such glowing reviews, and my second visit to this charming resort. The hotel is warm, clean, and the welcoming atmosphere exudes from every member of staff. I particularly enjoyed being ushered straight to our rooms and then signing the check-in documentation later in the evening - a particularly nice touch given the long drive down from Munich. The hotels facilities are good, ample parking is free and the location is excellent being just at the end of the pedestrianised main street in the centre of the resort and a 2 minute walk to the train station. The hotel's crowing jewel is the restaurant, and I would strongly recommend booking half board. A sumptuous four course dinner awaited each evening with lots of local delicacies, quirky dishes and all immaculately presented. The hotel had a nice mix of guests which added to a cosmopolitan feel. The rooms appear to have been recently refurbished in a style which captures the charm of the Tyrol area and were very spacious. I would most certainly choose to stay here on my next trip to the area.
