Good feeling is what Paramount hotel is all about. From the owner Naru, to every single employee, everyone is determined to make you feel good there. I have been in many places and never felt better and more welcoming in my life! Don’t miss watching the monkeys at sunset from the rooftop restaurant. Any balcony room is great, they are known for having the best view of the city, and it is true! The restaurant is also great, if you order something they don´t have, they will take longer to prepare but is worth the wait and you can have a unique experience talking to the staff while your food is prepared. They have many stories to tell you and are always ready to chat about anything. You can have a normal tourist conversation, but if you are willing to really get to know them they will go much deeper and I found myself discussing values of life and learning a lot about the Indian way of thinking. If you are planning to stay in Pushkar, and you should, this is definitely the place to stay!

Room Tip: The balconys rooms are the best, but once you get there you will realize that the best thing of the...

A lot of steep steps, the room was very basic, hygiene wasn't on top of their list !we stayed 3 nights, and the room were never cleaned, but as it was the time of the camel fair, most places were fully booked, great view from our room window, also we had a small balcony, the roof top restaurant view was stunning ,but trying to get breakfast at 8 in the morning was hard,as the staff were asleep in the eating area on the roof, and kitchen closed,!!location was great, within walking distance of every thing.as we checked out they charged us 3 times the top rate ,said it was because it was the time of the camel fair ! when we mentioned about our room never being cleaned, their answer was."you never asked!",I think if your not too fussed about standards, maybe a back packer ,this might suit you ! very unorganized !

Incompetent, lazy and poorly organized staff, however room was clean and tidy. I booked an balcony room calling twice, 1st the reception (no. mentioned in LP) and owner's mobile ('cause receptionist refused to make the reservation). After I reached the hotel past midnight I woke up a guy sleeping on a mattress in the reception, who didn't know anything about my booking. The room I thought I reserved was of course unavailable and they charge Rs 650 for another room one (LP prices failed again). At 1am there was no other choice but stay, after unpleasant conversation with the owner (receptionist didn't really understand much nor even cared). Apologizes came in the following morning waking me up after long night in the room... Reception staff was desperate to keep disappointed me living This accommodation was basic, but apart from a power cut one evening, we had what we needed. Unfortunately what we had read of the some hour restaurant on site was misleading.Service and both quality and choice of food, was extremely poor, avoid this if possible. It is easy to get to the normal tourist routes from the "paramount place "

this is how i explain Paramount: the best roof top, in the between of the holy lake and the only brahma temple, wunderful staff, gentil and kind, easy to get to the market, and easy to get out of the city, because pushkar surroundings, is something you must see. Ask for any help in the hotel, because Ravi, the super, super manager, is able to make everything to make your problem solved. So if you go to pushkar just once, try this hotel, because you will feel like home. On this roof top, there is a magic café, they have a very nice Menu, and Raj the chef can make you one of the best food in town. And I know this people from a long time ago.

Room Tip: every balcony rooms are the best.

Excellent and intimate guesthouse with owners and staff alike all honestly interested in you as a person, with great service. They get it right and know how it's done.

Everyone is big-hearted and has a true cause they are passionate about, from devoutness in the Hindu religion to care for animals at the animal hospital.

Rooms are a bit basic but clean and with good value for money.

Also offers one-stop holistic services should you desire. Krishna (the owner's son) is a Brahmin student of the temple who earnestly wants to explain the history and significance of Pushkar and the temple/lake to visitors. He also invites you to his house, his music teacher's house and lovely rose farming gardens. Ravi (a long-time trusted employee) owns a tuk tuk and is happy to take you around. BC (the hotel manager) is similarly lovely.

All in all a great experience. Just don't get overly pressured by the Brahmin priests during the puja (prayer) by the lake. They will expect at least US$50-100 per person and pressure you until you give it. It felt rather sad that religion was more about material wealth or reward than true spirituality. Just go in with your eyes open.
