“get up there for the view on the far-side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

just a short climb - 5 minutes if you push it - through the boulders, and a great view of the rocky hills seeming to float in lush paddy fields. no quicker coming down, because the steps are uneven, so take care........

“Beautiful Sunset Point and Birth Place of Hindu God Hanuman”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Visit this place by climbing 500+ stairs which can be covered in half an hour in the eve time around 5 and climb the rocks to see the beautiful sun setting in the misty clouds and mountains.
The view is worth a climb. The hill top has a small temple of Hanuman( Hindu God) & this is said to be the birth place of the god.
On the way up the hill you will find monkeys all around asking for bananas and water. But, beware and keep a close look at your belongings before they are snatched by these monkeys and long gone never to be seen.

“worth the climb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

This is many steps up--- and gives a great view of the entire Hampi area. Worth it! However, be careful of the monkeys at the temple--- one grabbed my sis-in-law's leg and had to be scared away.
