We spent three non-consecutive nights at the Laquinta Inn & Suites during July 2012 for a youth baseball tournament. The first night (Saturday) we stayed in room 102, and the other two nights (Monday and Tuesday) we stayed in room 222.
The hotel is adequate and the staff was helpful with any request that we had. I thought the room we stayed in on the first night (102) was a bit cleaner than the room we stayed in on the other two nights (222). Perhaps this is due to different housekeeping staff members working on different floors.
The continental breakfast includes muffins, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal and waffles along with juice, milk and coffee. It is served from 6 am to 9 am.
Pool was unimpressive - surrounded by concrete in a fenced off area of the parking lot.
Be aware that there is another Laquinta Inn less than a mile away, right off I-30. Be sure you call and go to the correct one. The other one has exterior doors to the rooms (this one is interior entrance only) and did not look as comfortable.
Plenty of restaurants and service stations nearby.
The staff was quick to respond to any request and we were pleased with the overall quality of our stay for the price. If you need somewhere budget friendly, clean and comfortable in Texarkana, this would be a good choice.
Ice machine and laundry machines are only located on the second floor
