“Relaxing Reunion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We stayed in the Grand Fir lodge for a 'girls weekend' in February. The lodge was spacious, beautifully decorated and the kitchen very well equipped for self catering.
We were 5 females , with 3 bedrooms and 2 showers,a bath and 3 toilets between us - very comfortable and spacious.
The shop & maintenance staff were friendly, polite and helpful, even lighting our fire for us.
We loved the log fire and the hot tub!
We only had a coffee at the cafe. It was a busy &the food looked lovely.
We would return to this lodge without hesitation and recommend it to friends and family.

I booked the lodge for my daughterspecial birthday suprise - FAB ! The Norsman lodge was spacious, lovely decor and had everything you needed. The hot tub was a huge success with everyone. The staff from start to finish (especially Aidan) was very helpful - couldnt do enough for us. They booked breakfast for us in the cafe which was lovely - food well presented and efficient service. I can not recommend these lodges enough and cant wait to go back !

We stayed in the Spruce lodge for the weekend at the beginning of January , the lodge lived up to all our expectations and more.
The lodge is spacious , well equiped and beutifully and tastefully decorated.
The hot tub was a great hit with all the party, it was fantastic like being in a hot bath.
We booked breakfast in the coffee shop this was delicous and bought food from the shoop for the Saturady evening again all was delicious.
The lodges are located in a great positiin plenty of places to visit close by, we went to delamere for a lovely winter walk then to peckforton castle for coffee.
I would definately reccomend the lodges either for families or friends they are just superb xx

These lodges are located close to the well known Hollies Farm Shop in Cheshire and, like the products sold in the shop the lodges are of a very high standard also.

Our lodge comprised of a master bedroom with en suite, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with a bathroom and an open plan living/dining area with a kitchen. It is ideal for a weekend away relaxing after a meal in front of the wood burning stove with a glass of wine. Or have a sit in the hot tub!

The lodge was very well appointed and decorated in a contemporary style that fit with the forest theme. The kitchen is well equipped as is the living room with a large TV, DVD player and a Wii.

The bedrooms are comfortable and as the surroundings are quiet a good night's sleep is pretty much guaranteed.

I'd recommend this to families or groups of friends looking for a quiet location to spend time away together.

First I must say I have not stopped overnight in one of these lodges BUT I have been in them both and they are stunning. They are extremely clean and well placed in a small wooded area. You are separate from the main caravan site and the yurts. The farm shop is fantastic with a great well displayed selection of food. We are stopping here in July at the caravan site and begging my husband to hire one out for his 40th birthday.

Recently had a few days in one of these fantastic log cabins in the heart of Cheshire. From the moment we opened the front door to the cabin we were struck by the luxury and attention to detail in the cabin. From the 42" tv complete with wii to the hot tub outside the cabins have all you could need and more.
We also ate in the onside coffee shop and could not resist buying many items from the hollies Farm shop.
The cabin is set in a small copse of trees and when in the cabin (or looking at the night sky from your own personal hot tub!) you feel as though you are completely away from the hustle and bustle of life!
Not far from Chester and many other of Cheshire's tourist attracts it is ideally placed in gorgeous surroundings.
We will surely be booking another visit!!

Myself and my girlfriend stayed in one of the luxury forest lodges, and the word luxury is an understatement! It was everything we dreamt of and more. The relaxing atmosphere and the secluded hot tub made for a special evening that will never be forgotten. Having had a great nights sleep, what a perfect way to end the stay by having a fantastic breakfast in the coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and appeared to go that extra mile to satisfy our every need.
