“Very nice place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2006

In town for a conference. Stayed 2 nights. Very nice place. I agree with the previous reviewer's comments regarding the firmness of the bed and pillows ... but since I actually like a firmer mattress and pillows, I found those to be a plus ... personal preference I guess ...

Check-in staff was very helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. All the normal amenities of a nicer hotel. The architecture and layout (rectangular ... empty in the middle) of the hotel is very nice. The only (minor) drawback is that the elevators are only on 1 out of 4 sides ... it would be nice to have a second set of elevators on an opposite side for those with rooms not near the elevator bank (it's not a bad walk, but I'm lazy ...)

Overall ... if you're in town, this is a very good choice.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites while in town for a local charity ball, which was held at the Embassy Suites. The hotel itself is beautiful. Very spacious. I love the atrium and how it goes all the way to the roof. What a great idea.

The suite we stayed in was nice. It was a pleasant change to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room, although we didn't use either one.

The bath tub was small and you had to be a giant to adjust the shower head. Our tub didn't drain well and when taking a shower, we had to stand in a few inches of water. And be careful, there are no non-slip strips on the bottom of the tub. One more thing about the bathroom, there were only 3 bath towels. However, there were oodles of wash cloths and hand towels. I think there were at least 5 of each of them.

The beds were as hard as a rock and the pillows were at least 12 inches thick and didn't squish at all. This would have resulted in having your head resting on the pillow at about a 60-degree angle. I ended up not using a pillow at all and was in pain then entire next day. There were 3 other people in our group. All had the same complaints about the beds and pillows. One guy even resorted to using a towel as a pillow.

The complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast was wonderful. The chef made omlets, eggs your way, and waffles. The buffet portion was loaded with fresh fruit, bagels, doughnuts, sausage, french toast, oatmeal, cereal, etc. We didn't go away hungry. One thing that would have been nice was tea bags for some hot tea.

This hotel is nice, we just wish we would have known to bring our pillows.

We went to a banquet at the Embassy Suites this past weekend and ordered at their cash bar.
They had bottles of Amaretto de Saronno and Grand Marnier on display as
"cordials", but when we ordered those drinks, they served up a cheap,
imitation "knock-off" version. The price was $7 per cordial, but they were not serving
what was on display. I don't really have much respect for false
advertising.

This Hotel is Awesome! We planned on staying one night, but we loved this hotel so much , that we stayed an extra night. This was the best Hotel that we have ever stayed in. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The Breakfast is the BEST! I have never seen a free Breakfast like this before. The cooks were Great! And the Managers reception was also wonderful.. We stayed New Years Eve, and we were offered Shrimp, Nachos, Cordon Blue, etc.... The staff was great, We had no complaints. A++++ We will definetly be back, next time with out the kiddos.

Wonderful staff, rooms are large and well kept as was the pool area.Full breakfast was fantastic. The only thing we were unimpressed with was the resturant over priced and subpar food 1 time was enough...

We stayed at this hotel over Labor Day and it was wonderful! The staff was great, the rooms were large and the breakfast was outstanding! They had fruit, made to order omelets and hot food as well. Not many hotels offer half of what the Embassy had. We were really impressed. We had a perfect stay!

This new hotel rises from nowhere along the I-540 in Rogers. It is impressive, modern, and clean. However, its newness shows in some sloppy hoteliery and untrained/clueless staff, e.g.:
1) There were 5 in our party, but our suite had towels only for 2. We requested additional towels, which arrived the following morning after a second request for them.
2) We had complimentary coffee ensuite, but not enough cups or creamer to drink it.
3) Our chldren picked up a TV remote, and the next thing I knew I had a $12 charge for Shriek II, and a $7 charge for a video game. The staff blocked this feature after my request. We should have been warned in advance and told of the option to block.
4) I was charged $4 for a bottle of water that was moved off the counter-top and into the fridge. The maid could not see it, so I was dinged for it. Opening the fridge must have been an effort for her.
5) The restoranti staff need some serious training. They started vacuuming while we were being served dinner. The service was dreadfully slow, but the food was good --albeit very expensive. Even though custom dictates 10% for good service, they forced an 18% tip onto the bill whether you like it or not. It is in the small print on the bottom-end of the menu, which you cannot read in the poorly lit restoranti. This is definite cause to eat elsewhere; which we did the second night.
6) The pool has no lifeguards on duty of course, but you have to figure that out for yourself --poor signage.
7) The breakfast (which isn't really complimentary --it is figured in your fare somehow) was good, but the poor cook had no help and was over-run by hungry guests.
8) The bar staff was laughable. They did not know a lager from an ale, and served your $5 a bottle beer without a glass --you have to ask for one. Most of the draught beer was drained dry, or not hooked up properly -they were not sure which. Clueless on service as well as directions, they did not know the way to town!
All-in-all I would consider staying again, if I had a good deal on the price.
