“Location excellent but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

This hotel is close to the town and to the Petra entrance. Rooms were average but clean. Our breakfast was a huge disappointment seeing we had a busy day ahead. It was like giving small kids a few crackers and there was not even a boiled egg. Hope they have improved on the breakfast.

There is a sense of negligence about this hotel. The rooms are decent but could look sharper and overall the staff seem disinterested with 1 standout exception. The location is good, though, quite close to the Petra entrance, and the rooftop is a nice place to enjoy the sunset.

Overall it is not bad value, mostly because many hotels in Wadi Musa are grossly overpriced.

Just minutes walking away from Petra Site, Petra Inn hotel displays great Hospitality in economical price, It was booked under group tour package, where I stayed for two nights.

Hotel Manager was charming and free to exchange few words in evening, and agreed in adding extra facilities in near future, Rooms are fitted with archaic T.V sets, I found out set top box receiver was not working but was fixed immediately on a call to reception,

Restaurant at ground floor serves variety of menu local and continental, In close proximity of hotel they are varied number of bars and restaurants to suit with few playing traditional music and dance in evenings,

Now called La Maison. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Petra. Close to the entrance, clean and comfortable. Do not expect decent views even from the roof gallery. To much uncoordinated building has gone on around it.. It is used by hungry tour groups who devour the buffet which is not topped up properly

Recently spent 1 night here. The location is within easy walking distance to the Petra entrance - that's what originally attracted us - and the price. The common areas (lobby/dining room) are very nice. Rooms large and comfortable.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We called the day before to request that they arrange for a driver to meet us at the Eilat/Aqaba border crossing. The driver was waiting for us after we crossed the border.

I stayed here as part of the Explore group trip round Joran and it has to be said it was a brilliant hotel for our stay. Admitadly our tour leader did say it was a bit like 'Fawlty Towers' a few weeks ago (hence the bad reviews), but it's changed hands and they really seem to have got things right. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and the food quality is top notch and plentyful. It's in a very good location to Petra. I slept sound and well all nights on the very comfy beds. If I had to be picky, I had a cold shower every time. But thats what you get when there are 20 people all wanting hot water at the same time. I would def stay here again and recommend it (I think it's called La Maison now).
