If you want to see some of the smaller tombs and temples in Petra, this is a nice route to take. You can start by taking the road behind the Colannaded Street or from the back of the Museum. The only reason I didn't rate this higher is that the signage only begins right at the bottom of the trail, so if you don't know exactly where you are going you may start to think you have taken a wrong turn.
Luckily when I went there were people coming down, so I could see where the trail picked up and once you get to the Roman Soldier Tomb, it's easy to follow. Near to the summit is an old shack where two boys were selling drinks out of a cooler (near to the Obelisks)
Be aware there are no restrooms on this route, until you get down to the bottom of the trail near the 'Why Not Shop'.
Recommend early morning or later afternoon for this trail, since it gets a lot of sun. My only disappointment was missing the Snake Monument since it was not signposted.
