“It's all about the view........”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We had a couple of nights at Petra Panorama in September. The hotel is not in wadi musa or close to the Petra entrance which could be difficult if you don't have transport but this upside down hotel (find out when you get there) is certainly worth the stay. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast and dinner sensational and the staff excellent but it is the view of the Petra Mountains which will take your breath away (make sure you sit on your balcony, with a glass of something and watch the sun set - emotive beyond description). If we were ever in Petra again this is where we will stay.

The Petra Panorama Hotel is away from the tourist resort of Petra up in the mountains.
Great views. Standard rooms were clean and basic. Deluxe rooms seemed to have a very large balcony. Didn't try the swimming pool as it was too cold for the one free morning we were there.Evening buffet was a very reasonable price and good variety of choices. Suggest you try the Jordan hot milky bread pudding which although it didn't look great tasted absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast buffet fine with eggs cooked to order. Overall an ok hotel for a 2 night stay.

Incredible view from all the rooms. Excellent facilities and kind, very supportive staff. The notes has a nice outdoor swimming pool and a huge open terrace for a nice evening gathering or friendly chatting. Almost all the rooms are having their own terrace and simple patio furniture is provided upon request. I visit the hotel almost every summer and always have a great time. Highly recommended for family vacation!

Room Tip: The rooms with a sunset view over the mountains.

The hotel panorama is adequately named: the view from the hotel and the bedrooms (located on floors like terraces on a mountain), renders you breathless. Watch the sunset from it or dawn and you won't regret it. The hotel has a wonderful swimming-pool overlooking the mountains of Petra, and the bedrooms were spacious, though there are more comfortable beds. The bathroom was good enough, but the water pressure is always a problem in Jordan. (Water is a problem in Jordan!). The internet was paid as an extra and only worked in the lobby. The staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant has a panoramic view over the mountains, and the buffet is quite nice and varied. There was an excellent fish option, cooked on the spot, something we seldom see over there. It provided for a wonderful experience and a wonderful setting. And Petra, right below...wow!

Room Tip: All those overlooking the mountains, which I think are all rooms in the hotel.

PANORAMA HOTEL

hotel welcome you with quick check-in, staff so helpful and informative at reception, Getting to the rooms can be a bit complicated at first, but good instructions on the Key Card direct so easy to your room. Rooms are large, clean, with large balcony's and amazing view to Petra Mountains as it is you are looking to a paint.

breakfast and dinner are very good buffet. its different and they have small nice bar, or you can have your coffee in their terrace, relaxing with silents of the mountains view

the pool is great where you can spend two nights at hotel, one day to visit Petra Park and one day to relax on the pool specially in the summer times.

I was handling a Tour Group to Jordan in August 2013, and my Agents in Jordan booked us in Petra Panorama in Petra, was a bit skeptical at first, since it was my first visit to Jordan and the Trip Advisor review did not seem to good about the place, but when we got in and had a first hand experience of the place, it all changed. The check in was smooth, the staff were exceptionally helpful at reception and also informative with a good command of English. Getting to the rooms can be a bit complicated at first, but good instructions on the Key Card and with the help of the reception staff, it all seemed easy. Rooms are spacious, clean and have a wonderful view, especially in the evenings at sunset. Room service is a bit slow and it would be better if you got reception to sort out your problems other than talk to Housekeeping direct. Carry a Multi Adaptor plug along, as the rooms have just 01 two pin round plug socket. Bathrooms - need a bit of a touch up, they were a bit off color. Since I took a group from India, meals are always a problem given the food habits of Indians - we did not get Indian food, but hats off to the Chef and his team at the restaurant, no one went hungry, they guys tried their best to give us what we asked for, and came out TOPS on this front.
Rooms with large balcony's are something one should ask for at the time of Check in.
Learn never to go by other peoples reviews - see it for your self - its different. Great worr Petra Panorama and team....

Room Tip: Rooms with large balcony's are something one should ask for at the time of Check in.

This hotel was a good hotel with lovely rooms. The view from the room was amazing! The food was not bad.. we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and it was served buffet style. Some dishes lacked flavour and imagination!
Not a bad hotel to stay in whilst touring..
