The Petra Marriott was the best hotel during our trip through Israel and Jordan. The staff was very nice. The hotel is at the top of the valley and not right at the entrance to Petra, but it has a stunning view of the valley, especially at sunset. You can sit out by the pool or on the deck and enjoy it. The staff was nice and attentive. The breakfast buffet was huge and had many options. We couldn't say enough good things. The building itself is unusual and not your typical Marriott. You do need a car/taxi/guide to get to Petra but we did have one. I've included a few photos of the pool and the view.

I stayed here on an overnight with a small tour group. When we arrived, there was some confusion due to how our tour company had booked us, and the staff was unable to find our names or reservations. Even though they had no reason to think we were supposed to stay there, the staff was extremely helpful and polite, and everything was sorted out in the end.

My room was immaculate and beautiful, with a stunning view of the mountains of Jordan. The pool was lovely and is one of the many places where it is possible to enjoy the view. The dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious, and the service was friendly. I only wished that I had had more time and energy to enjoy other features of the hotel, including the hamam/spa. If I ever get back to Petra, I will definitely stay here again.

“Great views”

A great hotel with spectacular sunset (and sunrise!) views over the mountains. A little way out from Petra but easily accessible by taxi.
Disappointed that there was not ATM and that the pool was not working.
Service was very good though reception staff a little disorganised.

Everything in this hotel was perfect, and my husband and I travel internationally quite a bit. Staff was gracious, the food was good, the amenities were all you could ask for --don't miss the oil massage!

I hope to return to Petra some day and there is no other hotel I'll stay at.

We found the room and hotel very clean and comfortable. Prices were high, especially wine and cocktails. All waiting/bar staff very helpful and cheerful. Not so the front desk. Failed to deliver two important faxes, and had no idea about checking out early., neither did they seem to have a good grasp of English - more important here than in restaurants. Spa staff very good. There is no ATM at the hotel, and the nearest is in Wadi Musa, a 10JD return taxi ride (+ tips!) away. There was no courtesy bus down to the town. We also found the buffet breakfast more than adequate in choice and freshness, with ample coffee and juices. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cold cuts etc. As is most middle eastern hotels there was the choice of also having freshly made omelettes or fried eggs.
