“Best fish I ate in years”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2011

A very friendly and competent manager recommended us some excellent dishes for a very reasonable price. Though not on the menu, we got a mixed vegetables stew for only 5.5 JD and the best of all was the fish with hot sauce!
On the downside we can't say that what they call 'byriani' is anything resembling the dish as one would expect it in India. In fact it was rather a piece of grilled chicken on top of a plate of fried rice with some vegetables.
But the whole place is very nice, service is good and the view is magnificent.

“excellant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2011

A real pleasure! The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Begin with the mixed salads dish and for the entree try some of the home cooking.

“DELICATE FLAVORS, ORIGINAL CUISINE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2011

In the mmiddle of the small village of Wadi Musa, that host the ancient city of Petra, is located the Restaurant Mid Town. It is in a second floor, with a nice view of the valley.

Variosu restaurantes offers local cuisine, but I have tried three, no one them supply a real cuisine jordan cuisine like Mid Town. If it is not a luxury place, their food deserve a great place where to be served. The facilities of the restaurant are OK, but could be better. However, thir food is really full of flavor, presented in a delicate manner and you can feel that each dish has been prepared with precise combination of flavors and a great knowledge.

There is a world of difference if you try the same dish very well prepared, and a similar dish, maybe with the same name in any place, where the details do not count.

This family offer a menu, but they suggest you a really cheap complete meal with a variety of jordan foods, starting with a soup, later variety of starters with arab bread, later lamb or chicken with rice, and another delicious, elaborated for the high delight. This mtraditional meal do not is espensive in comparison with the other restaurants, and also you will enjoy a really nice place where to eat, with very kind attention. Try it, you will not regret!
