“Everything you could want on a family ski holiday.”

We stayed as a group of 10 at the end of January. This was the second time we have satyed in chalet Jora and are planning a third at present. Callie and Rohan were fantastic hosts and we couldnt have wished for better. There food and company was amazing. Like the first time we stayed they could answer any queries regarding anything in Bansko and could help with anything. When booking we organised ski hire and lift passes through them so it was straightforward and easy to get straight on the slopes. The accomidation is very homely and both the children and adults were never with nothing to do. Situated close enough to walk to the gondula although Rohan took us there after breakfast each morning. As for the pistes they cater for all abilites great skiing to be had. plenty of off-piste too. I would highly reccomened this chalet to anybody.

Chalet Jora, and our hosts Callie and Rohan were extremely hospitable throughout the week we were there. The food was incredible, the chalet was well kept and clean and their company was excellent. Our hosts provided fantastic advice on local places to eat and go out, and took us to a local spa which was an insightful experience into the more "normal" Bansko. We were pleasantly surprised to find waist-deep powder off-piste so late in the season, and the pistes were well-maintained which only added to the experience. I highly recommend the inexpensive chalet, and can only thank the hosts profusely for making our trip so memorable.

An excellent week in Chalet Jora. Food brilliant, rooms very comfortable and top notch service. Lifts to the gondola every morning and empty slopes. The snow has been knee deep and the pistes in great condition. What a trip!

Absolutely brilliant week with Chalet Jora in Bansko. The quiet location was a perfect retreat after a tough day on the snow (and/or après) - I'm missing coming home to some freshly baked cake and a crackling fireplace!! The hosts Cally & Rohan were warm, friendly and more than happy to help arrange lift passes, a massage, last minute change to our transfers (thank you!!) or anything else you could need. They certainly were the best chalet hosts I've stayed with (5th chalet trip in 3yrs), making us feel like we'd found a home away from home. I arrived from a week of skiing in Austria and can say snow conditions were better in Bansko, and prices were much more reasonable. Would recommend Chalet Jora in a heartbeat and I hope to be back next year.

I have stayed at a number of different places for ski trips throughout the world, from hostels to hotels to lodges and shared or private chalets and I have to say this is one of the best places I have stayed in! Credit to the hosts Cally and Rohan, who make up a large part of this recommendation. They were always ready to help out, give recommendations organise ski passes/equipment, and the food was incredible! I don't think i have eaten that well with that quality of food on a ski trip ever....! The place is large, bright, clean and comfortable, with a separate lounge and dining room, 4 bathrooms, 10 single beds and 2 doubles. The location is in between the slopes and the town, we walked back from the mountain every day with no problem, and the snow was amazing. Thanks for a fantastic first trip to Bulgaria!

We were a group of 8, mixed couples and singles. The staff at the chalet were amazing. they were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. you felt they were your friends and there was no awkward moments. Honesty bar was a really nice touch and there was never too little food or drink. They were really good at getting us out at night to go and explore the nicer sides of Bansko. We would recommend the karaoke bar!!!
The Chalet was really nice and had some good rustic features. The celings were quite low so watch you head. There was always hot water even though we were all showering and the beds were really comfortable.
There was a Wii, TV, internet, board games. everything you think you might need. The chalet has a deal with a ski rental place right by the gondola, you can leave you gear there and collect it before you go up. they let me leave my stuff with my friends gear even though it was my own at no extra cost. The guys give you a lift in the morning up to the gondola or if you want a lie in its a short walk.
The skiing and facilities in bansko are ok. the ski road can become very very busy later int eh day. but the nice thing is you can ski without a backpack because even the main restaurants and cafes aren't that expensive.
Try and find a great hotel with restaurant near Shiligarinika lift. (walk between the restaurants to a dirt road in trees, turn right up the road and after about 2 mins you will see it. great cheap food and beer)
Overall great place to stay in Bansko!!! Made our trip so much fun.

A group of 10 of us descended on Chalet Jora for half term. The chalet is situated in a quiet location away from the madding crowds but trips to and from the Gondola were made stress free by Rohan and his van. The catering organised by co host Callie was plentiful and delicious and nothing was too much trouble for them, even keeping me updated on the cricket scores! Overall the layout and design of the property is quirky (watch your head)! what it lacks in modern convenience it makes up in character and you'd be lucky to find better chalet hosts.
