Well , I had said that Mountain Home , AR was just missing a few things to be perfect. I must now cross one of those off my list. We went to celebrate Bambi's "29th" birthday last night at PJ's White River Lodge. It was fine dining at it's best ! Nestled down by the river , in a rustic lodge, we feasted on gourmet cuisine that I dare say matches much of what you might find in any major city! Bambi chose the Ribeye with with Whiskey Sauce and I had the Chilean Sea Bass! Neither were disappointed! We were greeted by the owner, Les Stevens, with a very warm welcome, and were served wine by him until our table was available. Our server Sara was just as hospitable. The entire evening, we never wanted for a thing! Julie Stevens , co-owner and wife of Les, worked in the kitchen with Beth. Our two chefs prepared the most eye appealing and delicious meals that I have had in a very long time. The most important thing was the staff treated Bambi like a queen, the entire evening! I now have no reason to miss the fine dining in the city, the Ozarks just hides their's a bit better. —
