Stayed this past weekend with a crew of somewhat unruly guys for a fantasy football draft.
Had a wonderful time!
Lodge is exactly what I was looking for, with clean rooms with nice decor.
Ate at the restaurant for dinner 2 nights in a row. The Oso Buco was tremendous, and the house special soup was excellent. The filet I got the second night was also very good with a very tasty whiskey sauce.
The mashed potato rolls (no typo - deep fried, like eggrolls) were a pleasant surprise as well!
Les took very good care of us with a nicely done breakfast and good sandwiches for us for lunch (as lodge guests). He and his staff are doing it right.
My only issue was with the wine service... The wine selection was very good but we had to help the waitress uncork the bottle, as she was struggling.
All and all a great weekend at a nice lodge with wonderful food.
Hope we make it back next year!
