I certainly agree with every other review that the hotel is refreshingly clean, the front desk and housekeeping crews are delightfully friendly. It’s everything what a Holiday Express should be, or a Hampton Inn for that matter (which is being built next door and owned by the same people). But nothing is totally perfect as in the matter of free WIFI. I’m writing this review on WORD first because of the choppy connections. I wish I could be sitting on the couch but can’t because it won’t connect - “limited or no connectivity”. So ok I will sit at the desk by the window and a/c as long as I can connect - but don’t worry it will crap out. Why I can connect to the Sonic across the street I have no clue. I have brought this to the attention of the front desk but their reply was “it’s working fine for me, maybe its because we have a full house”.
Also if you like ground floor rooms, well I wouldn’t suggest it here. Every one who has been above me either wear lead boots, or are really heavy walking people because I can hear every footstep. I did call the front desk and they tried to resolve this for me but it‘s still happening. Someone in town told me the hotel was built in a wooden frame, only the bottom floor was cement. There is no noise between rooms though.
Would I return here? Probably not even though I am a Priority Club member. I never experienced hotel internet problems like this, and since I don’t smoke I would never get the 3rd floor since that is smoking - so there will always be someone on top!!
