“Not so tasty.. but perfect atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

Very nice setting, great people and all the small details that make a place special. But sadly the food was not up to par. We did not feel cheated though, had a good night overall (helped by the wine and their good pisco), but this was a bit of a disappointment - fish so-so, gratinado lacking in taste... Still would recommend the place as my guess is we were unlucky more than anything else.

“One of the Reasons to Visit Castro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

We stopped by for lunch on a visit to Castro and were amazed by the creative food and excellent service. Since we were not really hungry, our waiter suggested that we share one of the sample platters which allowed us to try a smattering of local produce and excellent seafood. It is incredible that they can turn out such great food in a little, tiny kitchen.

“Best Salmon in Chile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Love this little street with boutique shops, hotels, hostels, businesses... We went back for dinner the 3rd time. They have remodeled and expanded the seating area and are finishing a darling patio seating area as well. It is still winter, so had to keep our jackets on. Love the fact you can watch them prepare the food. We ordered salmon with octopus sauce that was divine! The salmon cooked to perfection and the sauce unique and delicious. For the month of September they have a menu to celebrate the Independence day holiday, 9/18, that lasts a whole week! Waiter spoke English, which was a bonus. Definitely worth returning yet another time, another visit.

“Awesome does not describe the experience or food enough”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

What a treat! This place hooked us on our first night and kept our business all 3 nights we stayed in Chiloé. A small and quaint palafito looking over an estuary for perfect ambience. However it's the chef and crew that will make you feel right at home.
Very inventive cuisine, with every dish amazing in balance and quality. They use local seasonal ingredients with perfection. These people would win any cooking contest here is the states. Watching them work adds to the experience, they are so in sync with each other. Our first meal was on the outer porch over looking the water, but soon we wanted to sit by the kitchen just to watch the show of the food being prepared.
The chef is bi-lingual so english was ok, however it was just as much fun to mime with the other staff. "chiiirr" will get you the best latte'.
I have never enjoyed trying things I have never eaten so much in my life! Just give in and let the chef take care of you.
