I drive around the streets and eventually find a large building, good architecture and decide that must be the hotel, though there is no sign outside! I speak to the receptionist to check I’m in the correct place and he advises that the hotel name is in the doormat! Only in Chile. This hotel has 60 rooms and overlooks the port. I walked into the restaurant for lunch; there is no one available who speaks English. It has a very good view over the port. I gather it’s a buffet lunch today and following six other guests, I help myself – a fairly health lunch. All the food is fresh and the presentation is OK but the “hot” food is only warm. At a cost of 15,200 Pesos (circa UK£22) excluding drinks it is not cheap for a buffet but adequate value.
