Goodies Restaurant is a wonderful place and serves great. The atmosphere is incredible! The Staff is incredible and so very friendly, and the food is Amazing! The Chefs are amazing. I had a blast and will be talking about this Restaurant to everyone. I flew from Houston TX (USA) and stayed at the Goodies Restaurant for a whole month. I was amazed with their attention to detail and quality in everything they did. Their steadfast values along with a top-notch team have kept satisfied Guests coming back. I love the place! And will defiantly be going back. I have traveled all over the world, and have eaten at thousands of Restaurants; But Goodies Restaurant is the best place I have ever been. There is only one way to describe Goodies, and that it is: Amazingly Excellent!

My wife and I travel over to Batam every couple of months for weekend getaways from Singapore and always stay at the Smiling Hill Hotel, next to Goodies. We enjoy the food and variety so much, that we usually have all of our meals at Goodies for the entire weekend.

They offer an excellent variety, with reasonable prices and generous portion sizes. I highly reccomend Goodies for a great meal, or entire weekend.

The Goodies Restaurant at Smiling Hill is an oasis amidst a bustling and industrial urban landscape. Located alongside the Smiling Hill pool complex, Goodies offers some of the best Western-style food found anywhere on the island - at competitive prices. Lamb and seafood are specialities (the lamb shank is excellent, as is the fried Thai fish - head and all), but the restaurant also serves a variety of Indonesian, Asian, Japanese, Mexican and Italian meals - all with ample servings and displayed with the flair of a 5-star chef. And the service from the "Goodies Girls" was excellent. We stayed at Smiling Hill during our visit, at one of the complex's upscale apartment suites - a great deal compared to other local hotels, with great service and easy access to activities and sightseeing on the island.

Enjoyed the location not having to deal with busy street traffic and contemptuous parking guys. Pool looks glistening clean, overall atmosphere is nice and relaxing. I still struggle with the prices, drinks (non alcoholic) are expensive, these are more like Singapore prices. The food delicious, but once again way too expensive for Batam local's, maybe ok for those that earn $$.
Service from some of the local staff was somewhat poor and a couple of the staff were rather arrogant, but it always takes a couple of staff out of many good ones which they have, to spoil the visit.
I would go back myself for the a bite to eat, but my wife (a local) was unimpressed with the way she was treated. You win some you lose some, but overall an ok place to hang out, if your a foreigner.
