The "royal" service is a complete waste of money. The mini bar has not been restocked with soda even though I requested it; none of my restaurant reservations have actually been made; the "pillow menu" is a joke since you don't receive them after requesting them. My room is filled with mosquitos (I was really hoping I'd go home covered in red spots) and the Internet doesn't work even though they have supposedly sent someone to look at it twice! The food is good (general buffet is better than the a la carte eateries) and the spa is wonderful. Overall, the service has been so poor that I have no desire to ever return to the Dominican and certainly never want to waste my money at another Melia resort.
