“Will be back next year!”

Just have to say this is one of the best beach hotels that we have ever stayed in. Upon arrival the customer service was excellent, the rooms perfect, restaurants superb and the location and stunning beach heaven! We were totally spoilt from beginning to end! The only downside was that we stayed for just a week, but will be back!!

Room Tip: Worth paying the extra for a sea view room, swim up rooms are round the side of the hotel overlookin...

I can't say enough about this resort. I went with my daughter for a week just to get away, relax and spend some quality time together. I read many wonderful reviews and the Grand Bavaro lived up to my expectations. Everything from the service, the staff, the food and the accommodations was excellent. I have to say, the food at the Grand Bavaro was so plentiful and the buffets for each meal had such a variety of food to accommodate all tastes. We got to experience three of the four restaurants on the premises and each one was better than the next. The only down side is having to take off those extra pounds once you get home. I will definitely return!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the ocean or the pool are the most desirable

This was the best of the best vacations!! I can't think of anything negative to write, the people, the food, the room, the beach ... Perfect! Our Butlers Andruly and Kelvin were exceptional! Kelvin even found me a curling iron on day 2 when mine broke!!! The afternoon free massages by Margarita and Yanna and Maria were icing on our cake! The guys Boom boom and Ricardo were amazing too...after day 2 they knew your name by heart and addressed you as a friend! I am truly looking forward to returning to this resort and this wonderful staff... I have so much I could share about how perfect our trip was...but, soon enough if you choose this resort you will learn on your own!! I'll be glad to answer questions if you message me... We normally don't return to the same resort twice ... This one will be an exception!! 51 weeks til our next vacation!!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 7213... The view and location was great!

Service, service, service... From the time we stepped out of the taxi and we handed our cool towels that smelled heavenly until the time the GM said goodbye we were in the lap of luxury!!! We had some great dinner a number of nights at the Japanese restaurant with Jose the greatest chef!!! He even remembered that I couldn't have garlic after the first dinner and was careful to prepare my food to my liking while still making sure that everyone else at the table got the full experience that they desired! Cornado was a great server who learned our likes and dislikes quickly!
Ortiz took great care of us anytime we saw him. He was always there to make sure all of our wants were fulfilled... Including when the buffet ran out of Guacamole (the best by the way) he went to another restaurant and got me a large bowl!!! The bartenders and pool hostesses were great too especially Rosy and Maria, they learned who we were, what we liked and how long we would be there. We will definitely be going back and are planning to checkout some of the other Iberostar Grand resorts in the future!!!

We just got back from 10 days at this wonderful resort and Iberostar Grand seems better each time we stay. The breakfast and lunch were resplendant with wonderful offerings. I don't remember having this choice of seafood and other grilled fish in prior years. The dinner restaurants are good, but I cannot say they are as good as so many other aspects of this beautiful resort. I am unable to go to the beach for health resons so I admire it's beauty from afar and I spend the day at the pool which is comfortable, beautiful and offers terrific service. The place has beautiful,immaculate rooms and the room service which we ordered once for dinner was just right. I am so looking forward to my stay in 2014 as I believe my husband and I have found our niche in the Dominican Rebublic; why go elsewhere when one has found the best. Thank you Iberostar Grand for a great vacation and a special thanks to Henri, our butler, and all of the sensational staff.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have beautiful views. I am diasabled so a room choice is different for me than the aver...

You can't go wrong with this resort! It's beautiful and so well maintained. The staff is wonderful and so friendly and will do almost anything to make your stay enjoyable. We went for my birthday and every day and night was just perfect. It's a very quiet, peaceful crowd (except for the younger crowd that showed up the day before we left and thought they were at a frat party--can't control that, but most of the guests were older and were just there to relax). I would recommend this resort to anyone wanted to escape life and just relax and have a great time! Can't wait to go back!

The Star friends were fantastic and work so hard. The food was very good, and by sending an email prior to our arrival. we were able to book reservations at each of the four restaurants. The cabana game is a bit annoying, but if you just get up early and put some stuff on one, you can come back and you're good to go. To those to reserve them and never use them. please stop! The workout facility is only open from 7am-7pm. If you aren't there right at 7, wait and show up on the 1/2 hour. After about 30 mins, people are done and leave. There aren't very many machines. Unfortunately, after eating all day, you really want to burn some calories the next morning. The staff works so hard, tip them as you go, they really appreciate it. The beach is raked very morning and completely beautiful. The smokers have no regard for people who are allergic to smoke, but you really can't control that...you just have to move away from them and order another drink. :) Our butler Miguel was wonderful and found us every day to see how we were doing. If you ask for a wine list, they will give you the option of the included bottles...but you have to ask. Hard to complain about much at this resort. They do a great job of maintaining it and doing everything they can to make you happy. Go. relax and enjoy yourself! It's worth very penny!

This was our 3rd stay at the Iberostar Grand. It seems that each year is better than the previous year. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the service, food, drinks, weather, cleanliness, beauty, decor, atmosphere, friendliness of all who worked there, as well as the beach, pool area, gym, garden areas, wildlife, and more, was simply outstanding. There were so many people who served us and who deserve special recognition, but the list would be too long.
We would like to give special recognition, however, the Freddie at the front desk whose service was beyond special. We would also like to thank Romil, (spelling?), in the entertainment department who brightened our day each day of our vacation.

Room Tip: All rooms are very good, however, our favorite rooms overlook the garden and pool area.
