“Awesome service staff! Nice rooms.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

We stayed at amari for 5 nights for our honeymoon. We wanted to experience the Jacuzzi room so we stayed there (room 5101 /1st floor) for a few nights and switched to e deluxe room for e last couple of nights (room 5404 / 4th floor). We found that room 5101 was a little old looking. The bed was large but smelled a little musty, like there had been much more traffic in and out of e room so the furnishings of e room looked worn down. Didnt use the bathrobes cos they smelled like they had been in e closet for way too long. Jacuzzi was nice and private (trees will cover us) but being on e first floor, we can still hear and see people walking by right outside e Jacuzzi location. I'm sure the upper floors would hv been nicer. The up side is that we had a really warm reception by the service staff, and subsequently surprised with a cake and fruit platter in our room. The bed was nicely decorated w towels folded into swans and rose petals.. quite romantic!
The last two nights we stayed at 5404 (on the 4th floor) so we had a view overlooking the trees and sea on one side, and overlooking the restaurant and rest of e hotel on e other. This room was also much cleaner looking and furnishings looked newer. It is a nice size for two actually. The bed can easily fit 3 or even 4 persons. The staff will put aromatherapy oils which made the place smell great.
The attentiveness of the hotel staff is what would make us return to e hotel. They transferred us seamlessly from one room to another, bringing along things like the hotel power adaptors for us. We were always surprised with cake everytime we returned to e hotel. Room service was prompt and gave us everything we needed and more in a timely Manner.

After a break of 3 years, we have returned to the Amari Vogue Resort, Krabi & I'm happy to say that it remains the same, outstanding, relaxing, well maintained resort we enjoyed previously.
The management & staff of this place maintain a very high standard across every area I can think of when it comes to the resort itself & the requirements of their guests....it is a quality spot.
The quiet beachfront location & the setting is magnificent - pictures just don't do this place justice.....the rooms are clean, cool & very well maintained by the staff - hardwood flooring, quality fittings and a huge patio with a spa tub to enjoy the magnificent sunsets & views to The surrounding islands....from our room anyway! (5401)
Free WiFi everywhere, shuttle to Ao Nang, gym, Spa & 2 restaurants (Bellini (beachfront) & Lotus) &the Sunset Cafe + kayaking & longboats to the neighbouring islands provide plenty of services & options for things to do...
Thanks to Michael & every member of the staff who greeted & looked after us at this terrific place.....
The Amari Vogue has set the standard for us again, & we don't think we'll need to look anywhere else in Krabi for our hard-earned getaways!!

The hotel is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The staff were amazing and attentive, and the location is breathtaking. I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where the staff are willing to do anything to make your stay as memorable and enjoyable as they can... all with a smile on their faces. The beach and pool area are relaxing havens, and the breakfast buffet had a great selection of food for anyone's taste.
I wish there were a higher rating than excellent, because this hotel and staff definitely deserves it.

After staying in Bangkok this small boutique hotel is just what you need to relax. The hotel has the amenities of a larger hotel but here they make you feel special in an unobtrusive way. Guests are all age ranges and a few with toddlers but there were no teenagers as there would not be enough going on for this age group. The situation of the hotel is next to a national park/rainforest which means it is the last hotel on the road/beach.
The staff are a credit to the hotel, always smiling and ready to help. The breakfasts are amazing and cater for all tastes. The Bellini Restaurant down at the beach does food all day but in the evening is transformed into an Italian style restaurant with quiet live music which does not interfere with conversation.
The beach is quiet and extends beneath the rainforest where it is even quieter, apart from the cicades which tend to start up as the sun goes down beyond the karsts (limestone rocks jutting out of the sea), I counted at least 20 karsts! It is possible to take a longtail boat trip from the beach to see these rocks or to go to Ao Nang or Railay beach.
The spa is superb with attention to detail, having a specific problem with my back the young lady looked the details up on the internet to ensure that I received the correct massage, something you don't get from the beach massage establishments!
The room was very spacious and comfortable and we could get Sky news which kept us in touch with the weather in the UK. The bathroom was excellent with a powerful shower and excellent lighting.
I would like to thank Amari and the staff of the hotel for making our stay memorable. We will be back, just like the couple we met on the beach on their 4th stay at this hotel.

We stayed here for 12 nights across New Year. Form the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice after combing through trip advisor when initially planning our trip. We had a Honeymoon Deluxe room and had seen on this forum that room 4401 had the best view. I had contacted the hotel a few weeks before arrival requesting this room and received a rapid confirmation that they had reserved his for us ready for our arrival. If you select this type of room, 4401 really has the best view in the resort with most of the "standard" rooms view would have been disappointing for us as the seating area tended to face back into the bedroom due to the hotel design. The Honeymoon rooms have a jacuzzi on the balcony which was very welcome at sunset with a vodka and tonic!
Having been to places renowned for customer service, Maldives, Dubai and Mauritius, the staff here were second to none. Met upon arrival by Michael the hotel GM which as you will have seen in various posts was always visible around the resort checking everything was OK and if all the guests were having a good time, credit to Amari. Other members of the team worth a particular mention were Benjamin the food and beverages Manager and some of his team Wanna B, Wassana and Arran all of whom were exceptional.
Breakfast choices were very good with the usual array of fruits, cereals and egg station made to order but we tended to opt for the Asian selection to kick off the day.
Both Restaurants, The Lotus and The Bellini were excellent and not over the top price wise. The choice and standard was very good and we loved the position of The Bellini, right on the beach ( You can request a private table on the beach for a special occasion by the way)
For a nearby alternative, the restaurant just along the beach at the Hotel Tubkaak was a popular one for us at lunch time as they also had a spectacular beach front setting.
There is a long boat concession right on the beach offering trips to the Islands opposite. A little more expensive than the same trips from Ao Nang but not enough to make you trek into town to pick up a boat instead. We took the trip to Hong Island which we would recommend, just make sure you head off no later than 8.30am as the beaches get packed by about 10.00am.
We also booked a trip from Ao Nang for a speedboat trip to Koh Phi Phi which included a visit to Maya Bay - better know as "The Beach" again a good trip but incredibly busy.
New Years Eve at the hotel was also very good. They went to a lot of trouble and actually constructed a stage on the beach to present a themed evening at The Oscars. Food was buffet style and had something for everyone including Lobster. Midnight was greeted with a substantial firework display and then we all went onto the beach to release eco- friendly Chinese lanterns into the sky, quite spectacular.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly couples and if we return would probably stay for around 4 nights and travel across to other resorts such as The Outrigger on Koh Phi Phi and Koh Samui.
