I've eaten in some very fancy restaurants in my time, and would give almost every experience no more than 4 stars. When we pitched up at the Copper Horse, the menu seemed a little more expensive than the norm but we were hungry and it was raining, so in we went.
The food was on a different level, from the succulent lamb shank to the luscious white chocolate and raspberry sundae my taste buds were spoilt.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, and went out of the way to recommend local attractions and to help us play a prank on a member of our party - he went to the loo after the meal, so we pretended to have left by hiding around the corner. The staff then casually gave him the bill when he returned to an empty table - what a cracker!
I thoroughly recommend this place, and it's a shame I live 250 miles away!
