I stayed here with my partner for 3 days in February 2013 and after a couple days ...we had to come back for one last day with Anoop and hi lovely family.
Anoop is a lovely 27 years old who has been extremely sweet and welcoming to us...(his English is not very good yet but we communicated well enough) and his family of traditional fishermen has been very kind to us.
The location is incredible, right on the beach. Closer to the sea than the luxury cottages of the neighboring resort where folks pay 3-4 times more for...staying further away from the beach.
When we arrived Anoop's sea lap villas 3 impecable rooms have been functioning for less than a year and he still hadnt put on signs on the path to help guests there, so we got lost ...until he came to pick us. We recommend you make a very clear agreement on where he ll come to meet you.
Mararikulam beacj is a very long beach but has just one resort and about 5 homestays so this is a place for those who look for peace and contact with the locals.
We highly recommend the experience of staying with this lovely family.
