“My Favorite Place To Relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

Nestled beside a garden and swimming pool, Midtown Bar and Restaurant is an excellent place to gather for good conversation, drinks, and food. The quality all of which is due the the proprietor, Allan Chafe, and his excellent staff. The drinks are generous, the food is delicious, and the variety of both will no doubt satisfy your desires. I frequently visit Midtown with every visit to Sosua. I have always left fulfilled with all it has to offer. I'm sure you will have the same positive experience with your visit.

“A must visit place if in Sosua”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

By far one of the best places to eat in Sosua. Price is good for the quality of food. It gives you a place to sit and relax off the busy streets Sosua. The manager Allan and the waitress Maria are very hospital, I think most times they are the reason I keep coming back to Midtown. This is a must stop place if you visiting Sosua!

“Best kept secret in Sosua!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

This spot is tucked away in the former Don Antonio Hotel. Positioned well back from the street, it is a quiet, comfy place to enjoy a meal. The food is delicious and more importantly, consistent meal after meal! Also, the prices are very reasonable. The owner, Alan Chafe is very personable and helpful and takes great pride in his work. Try to stop by for something to eat any time of the day.
It is well worth it.

“An oasis of tranquility in downtown Sosua”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

The Midtown Bar and Restaurant is a wonderful find just steps away from the busy part of Sosua. The location in the courtyard of a hotel and with a swimming pool as a focal point make the Midtown feel like somewhere you might experience in South Beach/Miami although on a smaller scale, but with a distinctly Caribbean flair. The proprietor, Allan Chafe, is an excellent host. Fluent in English, French and Spanish he makes all feel at home and welcome to this intimate but airy bistro. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. From excellent steaks to omelettes, to Hot Chicken Sandwich (my favorite feels like home food) all the food is of excellent quality, as Allan insists on only the best products. In spite of the high quality of the food the prices are extremely reasonable.
Open every day (except Sunday) for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.
