Me and my friend julie went here on 10th june and have just came back unfortunately!!, honest the pics dont do this place justice it is so much more amazing in reality we absolutely loved every aspect, everyday and everynight of our stay, we really didnt want to come home, we had no complaints at all the service n cleanliness were spot on, your room is cleaned and towels changed everyday, there are water pumps doted all around the complex so you just need to fill up your bottles which i found really handy, entertainment was brill watersports were fun and the games were very entertaining. Anyone who is considering this holiday should just book honest you wont be let down. The trips are amazing and it wasnt a problem going outside the complex day or night you just say a firm no thankyou to the hagglers n they will leave you alone. the only thing i will say is you get issued with a beach towel everyday, if you lose this there is a £10.00 charge we had ours stolen so id advise u to take ur own.we met loads of nice people a variety of age groups and i will definately go back. One last thing the sun is 8 times stronger than europe so you do need a higher factor than normal for 1st few days, i usually use 8 and work my way down i was using factor 30 the first week!!!Anyone who moans about this resort is just to fussy!!! Any questions dont hesitate to ask me. I have one question for you reading this can i come in your suitcase!!!!

Stayed at the Casa Marina Reef for a week and had a really fantastic time! The rooms were fairly basic but all had a balcony overlooking the pool and air con etc. There is a second adjoining resort called 'Casa Marina Beach' which i would avoid as it seemed to be lacking character but the Casa Marina Reef was excellent. We were all-inclusive and the food was delicious and varied every night. The pools and hot-tubs were clean and really invting...as were the cocktails of the day! The hotels location was ok, we tended not to leave the resort though unless we were going on a day trip or to a local beach which was great for surfing so we never really ventured far in the surrounding town. The resort has its own private beach which was small but nice. Plenty of loungers round the pools so no problem getting a space! I enjoyed it so much I am going back again this year!

“Fabulous holiday at a fabulous price”

My boyfriend and I stayed on the Reef side of the hotel and had a very nice relaxed holiday. They keep the gardens and pools very clean and you always see them pottering about cleaning or pruning something!!

THE ROOMS
Very standard but comfortable and clean. If you go outside the resort and see what the locals live in, you soon appreciate a nice comfortable bed and a room with aircon! View wasn't that great as we were right next to a coconut tree so mainly saw leaves but we wasn't in the room enough to be bothered. Just to note, there are not hairdryers in the rooms - you need to take your own.

THE FOOD
To be honest, I am very fussy and didn't rate the food much. I don't really like meat and im very "british" where food is concerned however my partner enjoyed it and never went hungary! I just don't find fried bananas or mash potato and onion very nice for breakfast! The Al er Carte restaurants were VERY nice. The food was delicious.

THE STAFF
Found them all to be very helpful and nice. Nothing is too much trouble.

THE RESORT
Beautiful location, always enough sunbeds, there are 3 pools and the main one can get very noisy with the pool games but the 2nd pool is nice and quiet for you to relax around. The beaches are very very clean and the sea is so clear and warm.

STUFF TO DO
There is plenty to do and watersports are available close by, the reefs are amazing to snorkel around and there are many day trips you can go on and I would highly recommend the catamaran boat trip to Sousa! Make sure you take sun cream - we had factor 50 on and still burnt!

Overall, this isn't the Ritz but it is very very nice. Given the prices available to this resort you can't go wrong. If you are expecting 5 star luxury with fine dining then this is not for you. If you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday with the option of watersports / day trips etc.. and you want somewhere hot and a nice pool to swim in and drinks on tap then this could be the place for you.

I would rate it 8/10 over all.

Have a nice stay!

“Great Trip!”

Casa Marina Reef

Myself and my friend booked this resort as a last minute vacation. It was a really great deal and we jumped on board! After it was paid for, we decided to do some research haha! It was classified as a 31/2* so that worried us but the reviews on tripadvisor made me feel a little more comfortable, although there were some bad most of the reviews were of a more positive nature. We found the staff very friendly, the food was great, beaches were beautiful and the resort was really nice. The rooms need a little updating but if you are like us and spent the least amount of time in your room, only to sleep, then it was absolutely fine...!
The entertainment team were awesome - sansom, norberto, victor, and the bartenders are all great...really great people and so much fun!
We didn't want to leave, a week was NOT long enough...we would definitely go back in a heartbeat!
Next year, we will go back...CAN'T WAIT!

I went to Casa maria with my Girlfriend on June 7th for 1 week. The place is just beautiful, the water is amazing, the beach is great and the rooms were good enough for my taste. The bartenders and cleaners were very friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint are the lobby staff which were unwilling to help and frankly very lazy. 1 night we had a minor problem with the airconditioning and I told the staff my problem and they told me the technician would come up in 5 minutes. two hours went by and the technician came, checked things out and left. NOTHING WAS FIXED. Also dont fall for the locals. Simply tell them your not interested in purchasing anything and trust me you can bargain pretty well, I bought a smoking pipe, neckless, and a globe for 15 US dollars meanwhile he charged me 40US to begin with. All in all, its a lovely vacation and I would come back.
