This was our 2nd time to Casa Blanca.

We were here almost exactly 1 year ago and the improvements to the hotel & noticeable & significant.

Owners Dorothy & William are the most thoughtful & caring people and made our stay truly enjoyable.

Just to give you an idea, Dorothy offered us an extra fan, extra blankets, dvd's to watch and brought Easter/Semana Santa treats by the pool in the afternoon. She checked on us daily to be sure we had everything we needed and definitely went above & beyond!

In a small way, we tried to return the favour by bringing Dorothy a litle homemade Dominican lunch of fried plaintains & chicken & the next night she brought us one of her specialities, pan fried fajitas & sweets.

After spending 2 weeks at Viva Wyndham Playa Dorada for our wedding (which was also great!), our last week at Casa Blanca offered the much needed peace & quiet we were looking for.

We stayed in Studio B, right at pool side and spent most days listening to music & playing cards by the pool.

We were lucky enough to enjoy all the Semana Santa excitement with an awesome 2 night beach party on Cabarete Beach & saw OMEGA free in concert. It was so nice to walk to the center of town to take part in all the festivities & then walk back to the peacefulness of the hotel.

Rita & Juan are fantastic & somehow always knew exactly when to come to clean the rooms without being intrusive.

The only negative would be the amount of mosquitos! They seem to love me but we bought some mosquito coils & that seemed to keep them at bay.

I just want to thank them both for a great week & to show our appreciation for their hard work & tremendous efforts!

We will be back again as soon as possible!!

The Casa Blanca hotel is a little jewel in Cabarete. The rooms are a good size and very clean. With a frig and hot plate in the studio rooms you really don't need to eat out, but a holiday is a holiday, right. No cooking for me. The pool area is lovely with palms trees of all varieties. From the owners down to cleaning staff, we were made to feel welcome and assisted in every way. The cafe located on the premises served an excellent breakfast every morning and lunch at noon. The hotel owner introduced us to several restaurants in the area including a wonderful Dominican style restaurant. The "best" rice I have ever eaten. Loved this holiday so much we plan on returning for a week in April or May. "Hope the honeymoon suite" is free with its great view from a private balcony overlooking the pool. A number of the rooms opened up onto the pool area. The prices were incredible, averaging around $35.00US per day. We had a wonderful time and definitely will make the "Casa Blanca" in Cabarete our destination of choice.

We loved this place. It's not for luxury lovers, but if you're looking for a cozy little hotel with friendly owners, this is the place. It's about a 5 minute walk from the main strip -- nice and quiet, but easy to get to by foot. (We felt perfectly safe walking around, day or night.) The Canadian owners, William and Dorothy, do everything they can to make you feel welcome, and have plenty of helpful local knowledge. Their attitude transmits to the guests, and we found this one of the friendliest all-round places we've been to in a while. It's an especially good place for kids. The owners bought the hotel only a year ago, and are making some badly-needed repairs, such as fixing torn screens, but if you like a low-key place where you'll feel entirely at home, this is it. We would definitely go back.

The Casa Blanca is a simple, clean, friendly place to stay. We spent two weeks there and wouldn't have wanted to be staying anywhere else. There is some traffic noise, and it is a bit of a walk to the center of Cabarete, but it's worth it for the price and the atmosphere. If you're not looking for anything fancy, and would rather spend your money doing fun stuff and eating good food, then this is the place for you.

We spent the first week in Room 7 and then were moved, due to availability, to Suite F. The suites are much more spacious, quieter, and generally nicer than most of the rooms. So if you can afford the extra few dollars a night I'd recommend renting a suite.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, and Rita and Juan keep the place spotless. They smile a lot too. The best breakfasts in Cabarete are just downstairs at Claro.
