Kite Beach Hotel (KBH) is a great hotel. I just got back from my second stay at KBH and once again had a fantastic stay. If you want to kite in the DR or even if you do not kite, it is a great place to stay.

The location is perfect, right on one of the best beaches to kite and only 5 minutes from Cabarete center. There is a kite school right there called Kitexcite where you can take lessons or rent equipment if you want. Great school and well run.

I was in the new building at KBH which highly recommend.This time I had a two bedroom with fantastic beach view, big balcony, living room and full kitchen. It was incredibly nice and made they stay really pleasant.

The included breakfast is delicious and hearty. The restaurant is right on the beach and you can kite and break for lunch or a snack right there and watch the action on the water as you relax. The food is quite good and sometimes very good with a diverse menu.

Janina the manager if really great. From the moment you book, which is easy to do at the online site, she is in contact with you by email answering questions and helping when necessary. She also is great at organizing day trips to go riding, surfing, mountain biking or exploring the river canyons and waterfalls.

I really do recommend KBH highly. The best part maybe is that you always meet lots of fun people there. KBH has a very inclusive feel. You meet lots of friendly fun people from all over the world with whom you will most likely end up kiting, exploring and partying in the DR with together.

i think , specially in august more than others period because of tides, this is the most comfortable place, i was in a really nice ground floor apartement, which i warmly suggest, and everything i needed was maximum 20 meters far from me !!! :-)) the beach, the kite, my apartment, the restaurant... no troubles! And Janina it's always available just to make your holidays, if it' s possible, even better giving you precious advices like "where/what to go, to see, to eat"

My husband and I stayed at Kite Beach Hotel for our honeymoon and could not have had a better time. Along with the fantastic food, scenery, and safety, the service was exquisite. Our hostess was very helpful and went out of her way to create a friendship with us. We felt very welcome, comfortable, and got to experience the culture in town as well as enjoy learning how to kite surf at the hotel. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon and will be going back again as soon as we can!

If you enjoy kiting, this is the place to stay. Have been here 3 or 4 times now and keep coming back. Great community of kiters, relaxed atmosphere, good value for money. My kids love the surf camp in Encuentro and the circus school next door.
