Located in the “arriere pays” of the Romanian Riviera, a kilometre from Olimp, the restaurant takes you to the South of France. Anne Marie, the owner and chef, does a great job at cooking local fresh Romanian products using the French gastronomic cuisine. To put things in perspective, the restaurant is part of a winery that produces small quantity of fantastic Romanian wine. We bought a box of the wine for home ourselves and still enjoy today the Clos Des Colombes experience! There are also rooms for rent including incredible one-bedroom suites that is perfect for a small family or group of friends. Apparently, you can get discount if you stay five nights or more. Unfortunately we had to continue our trip to Bulgaria. The restaurant and winery are really worth the visit as it doesn’t compare to any other places we have been to on the Litoral. It seems as well that the menu is changing every season, something rare in Romania, which means that you could taste different food every time you go there. We still talk about the Foie Gras there which is one of the best we have tasted although we have been to France many times! We also found that value was great and prices cannot be compared to your regular frozen food restaurant found on the beach.
