“Classy Business Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

Malberry Suites is a no fuss business hotel. It's so much better and cleaner compared to the last hotel I've been to, which I will not mention. The facilities are great. They have a cafe/bar at the lobby that's open 24hours. Not to mention, service is very quick. When me and my friend entered the room to find out some light bulbs were not working, we called the operator for someone to fix it and the staff was there right away. And, as if it weren't mentioned by the other reviews, location is really great. Malberry is only walking distance from Limketkai mall and Rosario arcade where you'll find the good restaurants.
I just have one thing to say about aesthetics. Very average. And I did not say I'm expecting much. It's a business hotel after all.

Room Tip: Sorry to disappoint, there are only 2 views you can see. On the south side, their backyard and on th...

Being beside a mall and a row of restaurants makes this an ideal and convenient place to stay. The property is the largest hotel in the area .

Rooms are nice and service is good. Generally staff were polite and helpful.
Breakfast is okay. Nothing spectacular. I had to pay extra for internet, pool and gym though. I found this to be a hassle and quite irritating since these are amenities that should have been free in the first place. Wi-Fi is 100 pesos($2) per 3 hours.

We stayed for a week. The location cannot be more perfect for business in Cagayan. Reasonable price and ok service. If only they upgrade the breakfast it would be perfect. I failed to find a seat at breakfast time for several time. Facility is just enough, internet wifi and pool was free.

This is kinda late review already of this hotel but I think I owe them a good one since I had the best accommodation I could ever had while staying here. This is a very nice business hotel located on a walking distance from limketkai shopping mall/ rosario arcade where you can find CDO's best restaurants and shops. If not on a tight budget, will surely want to stay here again :) Good breakfast, nice rooms, and a certainly good location.

Rooms are nice and they also have a buffet breakfast. There's a live band every night where you can enjoy a bottle of beer or two. In my case cafe americano. What i don't really understand is why di i have to pay for the wifi, gym and swimming pool. Where it should be free? Wifi is 100 pesos for 3hrs. Pool and gym is also 100 pesos. I know it's pretty cheap but. Shouldve been free.

This hotel may be run by stingy chinese families as never before heard policies are yeah, right in this hotel. They may have a problem with management. Can you believe you are staying in a hotel, you pay for a room at not an exactly bargain price, and then you are charged with internet, swimming pool, gym fees??? Are you kidding me? I think this does not need any more elaboration as to why I gave a poor rating. Food is bad. Coffee is horrible.

To echo one of the earlier reviews of Malberry Suites on this site, this hotel is silly. It is an okay hotel for a vacation, but because of strange policies would be an annoying business hotel. We stayed there for a night in a superior room and paid PhP 2,200 (approx $50) for the night. Rate included a small buffet breakfast of lukewarm food.

First, the pluses: room is nice, hotel lobby also nice, they have conference rooms that guests can rent, three restaurants in the lobby and coffee shop on the 2nd fl, okay service everyone was polite, large LCD TV with cable, location is good (beside mall and restaurant row in the center of town)

The minuses: I expect a business hotel to have Internet everywhere and without pay, this one asks you to pay $2 (PhP 100) for 3 hours of in-room internet use and by accounts of other reviewers the internet didn't work anyway, free internet is only in the lobby, the amenities all have charges including the gym and pool ($2 per use), they only provide one key per room even if two people are staying, front desk staff were not friendly even though all other staff were, no airconditioning in the hallways, breakfast food ranged from lukewarm to cold

In sum, it's a nice looking hotel, but if you plan to stay long bring your own Internet stick modem with you and some extra patience. I'd recommend it for liesure travel and for short periods of time to those for whom Internet is optional.
