“Bit expensive from what you will get.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

It has a wonderful view of the Taal lake and no one will argue with that but it has lots of flaws. The room was carpeted and spacious enough including the balcony.. I just hate the smell of the room and the lobby. I think it was the carpet.. It wasn't well cleaned.. They have a pool which is a bit old and a non-functional Jacuzzi. Their breakfast was so so. Offered just about 3 dishes to choose from excluding the cook as you order omelette. The service was slow. We asked for a beach towel and it arrived after about an hour. We were already chilling in the pool. I don't think I would stay here again

Well, we stayed one night of a summer long weekend and it was hard to book a room in tagaytay that time. And since this hotel has a swimming pool we immediately booked it. The room was nice with two queen size beds and carpeted flooring. Though the room had a musty smell probably due to carpet getting wet by pool water when guests step in coming from the pool. The television set was a big disappointment, apart from it being really old and outdated (not even flat screen) it doesnt have good reception, even local channels were blurred and audio was static, definitely wanting to be replaced. Bathroom was average and provided with toiletries. Another disappointment was the breakfast, very basic and poor in quality. Hotdog served was not even purefoods or swift, or even cdo! Its the generic type you buy in the wet market. Pancakes were small and tough. One good viand was the omelette from the station, i mean, how can you go wrong with an omelette right? One best point of this hotel is the swimming pool. It has a nice view of the taal lake. Another good thing is that its close to the center of activities in tagaytay. Well, service is good also with smiling staff who's ready to assist you.

Was there last July 2012 for about 2 days for a conference. The hotel was just a few steps away from the Tagaytay roundabout and located downhill from the main highway. Spacious parking with polite staff in and out. The rooms were all situated down level, quite comfortable, clean and with a veranda that really offers a nice view of the lake and the surrounding greeneries.....such a wonderful sight ! However, having a good signal is not a plus factor....both in the conference room and bedrooms. Food offered were all good and not so fancy. If you feel like buying some foodstuffs as tokens (Filipinos called it "pasalubong") for loved ones back home, it is just a few steps away from a local delicacy/sweets maker.

Room Tip: If your mobile is very important then choose rooms on the higher levels !

It colder to sleep outside by the veranda than inside the room where there flies and insects who bit me all thru the night.e aircon did not function well. During breakfast, the room was so bright that it was hard to open my eyes.
When I checked in and request for the view, lady told me that rate was high because of the view. But too bad I did not see the volcano view.

This is an older hotel that is in need of a good renovation. It's a shame because the rooms are spacious and the views are nice but the service is poor and unpleasant. Forget the cafe - food is overpriced. There are lots of new restaurants, inns and hotels in the same price range. Go look elsewhere.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

We stayed here three nights from 15 December.

Pros: The hotel is centrally located on the main road yet quiet, close to all amenities such as 7/11, restaurants, banks etc. The rooms are spacious especially the terrace is very large with nice view of Taal Lake (but not the volcano), service is also good, room maintenance and upkeep is very good.

Cons: The rooms are bit tired; the rooms still have old tube TVs though LCD and flat TVs have been around nearly decade but and the image reception quality is bad. The rooms still feature old box type A/C and very noisy though split A/Cs have been around over a decade. The shower heads are very old (tube like) when most hotels have broader rain shower heads. The hotel needs refurbishment badly.

The breakfast is very basic but quality is OK. Hotel staff are very courteous.

Room Tip: Take rooms in the middle level facing the lake

Although there are some minor issues,Days hotel is fairly decent for an overnight, with good location in Tagaytay. The place is dated but way better than some motels around, room comes with free set breakfast which is a so-so.
