“Nice rooms with nice views but poor service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

This is an older hotel that is in need of a good renovation. It's a shame because the rooms are spacious and the views are nice but the service is poor and unpleasant. Forget the cafe - food is overpriced. There are lots of new restaurants, inns and hotels in the same price range. Go look elsewhere.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

We stayed here three nights from 15 December.

Pros: The hotel is centrally located on the main road yet quiet, close to all amenities such as 7/11, restaurants, banks etc. The rooms are spacious especially the terrace is very large with nice view of Taal Lake (but not the volcano), service is also good, room maintenance and upkeep is very good.

Cons: The rooms are bit tired; the rooms still have old tube TVs though LCD and flat TVs have been around nearly decade but and the image reception quality is bad. The rooms still feature old box type A/C and very noisy though split A/Cs have been around over a decade. The shower heads are very old (tube like) when most hotels have broader rain shower heads. The hotel needs refurbishment badly.

The breakfast is very basic but quality is OK. Hotel staff are very courteous.

Room Tip: Take rooms in the middle level facing the lake

Although there are some minor issues,Days hotel is fairly decent for an overnight, with good location in Tagaytay. The place is dated but way better than some motels around, room comes with free set breakfast which is a so-so.

we (4 adults & one kid) booked overnight for holiday weekend. No complaints overall, Room was more than adaquate and swimming pool is a big plus. all rooms have view of Taal.

Just 2 very minor issues..Our room was already paid for in advance yet front desk required 1,000p cash deposit, in fainess refunded the following morning upon check out. 2nd is the advertising that wifi is availble in rooms is not correct. wifi signal is only available in the front desk, lobby area

They had this good deal for Mother's Day last May. We are a family of 5 -- 2 adults and 3 kids. Free plated dinner for 2, free buffet breakfast for 2, free wifi and free use of their amenities and free couples massage. The kids enjoyed the pool coz we had it to ourselves, hehe. The climate was cool, coz during our overnight stay it was drizzling form time to time. And the view of Taal volcano was awesome from where we are!

I guess you can say that the place is a bit outdated but if you just want to get away from the busy city life, I don't mind staying here again. Their prices are still cheaper compared to other hotels around Tagaytay :)

We used to stay at Days Hotel when it was new yet and for a number of years. However, after some time off from it, we returned to see that it has lost its glory over the years because of poor maintenance. The corridor and rooms are somewhat musty, still dark on the hallways, and rooms need repainting. While we were there, we were not able to use the restaurant because it was being used by a group having their conference in the hotel, so we had to go out eat elsewhere . I guess what remains good is the swimming pool and jacuzzi (which they turned on upon seeing us going to the area). It has a very good location and ample parking though.

The hotel has a unique style and architecture, all rooms have a balcony and wonderful view of the lake. The place is quiet and relaxing. The hotel is quite old.
