“i love the bed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

we stayed here for 2 nights.

nothing special. staffs are polite. the wifi is really exceptional. the best wifi i've had in a public place. but inside the room it's unreliable, though there are tables and chairs in the hallway and reception where you can sit comfortably. i had with me my smartbro pocket wifi and can't get good signal barely working.

if you don't have a car this place is not advisable. it's 1-2 km away from the main road and food establishments. you need to hire a tricycle which costs P30.

My husband and I stayed at Wingate for a weekend. The room was basic, far from luxurious, but comfortable and clean. I was very happy with the complimentary 1 hour massage, and the breakfast wasn't bad too.

My one complaint was the bathroom. The faucet on the sink leaked, and the water from the shower would run towards the door.

For the price I paid. Not bad at all.

Room Tip: There is wifi but you have to go outside your room.

Good thing we got a deal in agoda. We payed 3400 for an overnyt stay with breakfast and massage for 2. When we arrived, only the front desk assisted us, gave the key to our room and that's it. No one assisted us in going to our room. And since we arrived late (4pm) and we havent taken our lunch, we decided to eat in their cafe. The prices are very expensive. We ordered their rice toppings worth 200 pesos each and a fruit shake worth php 100 pesos. It took awhile before the food was served so we expected that the food will be great. We were surprised to see a plate with a cup of rice and a dish on the side. Doesnt look like a rice topping meal. It looks like a meal from your office canteen which can be bought for only 60 pesos. After eating our lunch, we went to the pool, we didnt get a chance to swim because the pool was dirty. The whole hotel lacks customer service and looks like no one is maintaining it. Needs improvement.

If you want a quick escape from the urban hustle and bustle, this place is fairly easy to reach from Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite and Batangas, during days or hours without much road traffic. They no longer offer airport transfers, unfortunately. We spent a total PHP8,000 for 3 adults for a wellness package which includes shabu-shabu (hot pot) dinner, full body massage and bed-and-breakfast. Chose the place due to above average ratings, but I'm giving it an average rating. The room and bathroom were clean, but the sheets were a bit stinky and damp, it badly needed some air-drying and sunshine! Yes, given our very long and stressful week, the massage was relaxing, but it could definitely have been better. Maybe the masseuse was also too tired? It was a late check-in, so we were left with 9pm and 11pm slots for the massage. The lush green yard, water features (fountain and pool) and good front-desk service helped boost the relaxation factor though. So overall, it wasn't great but it wasn't too bad either. :-)

This Hotel was a great value for 3800 php ( includes 1000 for transportation to and from manila to the hotel for 2 people ), also included were 2 free breakfasts and 2 free 1 hr. massage, The service was average ( i didn't like the fact that they wouldn't let us check in early even though they provided the transportation ). There was an issue with a leak in the bathroom but the maint. man quickly took care of it. The room was good size, included fridge, t.v., the shower had a nice " rain shower " but like most places in the Phil. the water temperature wasn't to hot. Because the hotel is an outside hotel, bugs can be an issue in the room ( we did kill a few of them ), They offer ( for an additional price ) the taal volcano excursion. Overall for the price and whats included we had a terrific time in tagaytay staying at this hotel :)

This is our first time to stay in this hotel. We stayed for three nights during weekdays. It is a quiet residential neighbourhood. The hotel is far from the Tagaytay main road (about 2km). It will be hassle if you don’t have your own car. Or you can ask the hotel staff to call for tricycle They have a huge guarded parking lot, parking space will not be a problem. It is value for money, though a little more expensive than those hotels along the Tagaytay main road. But considering it has a big swimming pool and a small jacuzzi pool which hotel guests are free to use. Plus the room rate also includes one hour body massage per day for each of the two room guest. In our case, I did not avail of the massage, so my wife got two hours of massage. The breakfast is also included, they offer filipino and western breakfast. You have to make your breakfast choice the day before or during check-in. They have a small cafe in the hotel, it is where the breakfast is served. Food is good, price is on the high side. It would be excellent if they could increase the size of the serving. The room is clean, they change the bed with fresh and clean linen every day. The bed is comfortable. Our room is at the 2nd floor, and able to get good Wifi signal. Hotel staffs are courteous and efficient.
