“Excellent for Big Families!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

Went here September 2013 and stayed with my extended family-room can accommodate 4 adults total but we were 5 and had to pay extra for a foldaway bed.
The Pros:
1-Rooms are big! The 2 bedroom suite/summit suite is a nice respite from having to book 2 rooms separately especially if you like hanging out with your family. One room had two single beds and the other had a queen sized (can fit a couple+ small child). It has a decent sized open plan living/dining area.I don't see the point of being equipped with a mini kitchen but hey, that might just be me.Everything was clean and orderly.

2-Location-right along the main road, besides a small shopping complex (with Starbucks and a supermarket, plenty of restaurants).

3-The staff. My family and I came early from Manila, earlier than expected and they checked us in no questions asked at 12 noon. All are very friendly and helpful.Check out was a breeze as well.

The So-so:

1-The buffet breakfast spread is a bit tired looking.Mostly served local dishes. It got better during Sunday though.I was hoping for more variety of fruits on the table as Tagaytay and the surrounds are known for growing fruits!

2-The lift is slow. This needs maintenance for sure.

3-I was hoping for the spa service but it was closed.Maybe because most guests don't avail of it.

4-it's very windy on the topmost floors and when it rains, floors tend to get slippery.Even the rubber matting on the floor was being blown about.Maybe it would be safer to just tack them onto the floors.

All in all this was good value for money

Room Tip: For big families or a group of friends staying, it's best to have the Summit Suite or the 2 Bedr...

as the title states... it really was. No need for an air conditioning unit.
From our floor (7th), when you look out the veranda its pure fog. It even comes in the room itself when the veranda door is open. Great timing of our stay. must say it must have been one of the most chilly nights of the year.
Staff are quick to respond with our queries and requests.
Kudos to the Engineering who responded quickly fixing our refrigerator.
No problem with your basic necessities. you can walk right beside the hotel (summit ridge promenade) which has a grocery and a number of restaurants.
Big credit to the hotel's parking area which has their dedicated security guard on duty.

A perfect place for a quick family and/or barkada vacation. It's just outside of the metro so it's very easy to escape to.

The hotel is just perfect for the people who are looking for some peace and quiet. Very friendly staff, clean room and has a perfect view of the taal lake.

The hotel is also right next to Robinsons Promenade so the guest has an easy access to the restos and supermarket. The place is also just a few minutes drive to Sky Ranch which is one of Tagaytay's tourist hot spot. You can also visit the Mahogany Market where fresh fruits and veggies are for sale, along with fresh meat.

I booked our hotel through their on-line booking system...it was easy. I got the 2 bedroom suite at the 9th floor coz we are traveling with my 2 teenagers. I called a day before to confirm our room & to make checking-in easier. Upon arrival, We were asked to wait for one hour before our room was ready. There was a HUGE fly in the living room--which we had to kill..ugh & spray with alcohol. The room has its own living area and dining area, a functional kitchen with big ref which was great when you have kids around. Very near Robinsons supermarket and lots of restaurants to choose from. The free BUFFET breakfast was OVER-RATED. There were ants in the bread section and fruit flies in the fresh fruit section. And no available toaster near the bread station. The breakfast buffet selection is so limited. What's great about the hotel? The view of Taal from the 9th floor.

Room Tip: If you want a fantastic view and traveling with family, the 2 bedroom suite at the 9th floor is high...

Stayed at Summit Ridge during summer this year. I was really expecting a lot from the Hotel because, well, outwardly, it looks luxurious, but it was totally the other way around when you get to see it. The room is absolutely gorgeous, clean and cool, but I was really disappointed because we just had the perfect view of the road! More disappointing, you had to pay more to get the rooms in the higher floors just to see the Taal volcano, but still, it isn't near enough. Still there's a lot to improve in some of their facilities like the restrooms near the pool and the gates of the veranda in every floors, that are such an eyesoar. Pool requires a lot of time to clean in the morning, thus, you would only have a little time to take a dip in before you leave. But the best part of Summit Ridge is the esplanade. No more no less.
