hi there. the place is awesome, relaxing & calming. receptionist forgot to attend to me during check in though, probably bec of the other guests. but the lady redeemed herself when i called her attention. suggest them to be alert. or other staff or the manager to help out. forgot my healthway voucher but what was great was isabel did not make it difficult for me. she agreed that i send it over to the spa's manila office. i just emailed her the photo of the voucher to assure her that i have it really but just forgot to bring it. promise to have my messenger send it in your manila address on jan2.
dining & recreational areas are superb. garden, room design, outdoor spa huts, pool, play areas are fantastic, every nook! pool towels are old & rough, they need to be replaced with new ones.
massage spa services are great but pricey. the massage head board in the couples room is hard, not comfy & smells soiled.
cricket sound at night, flower bees, lady bugs, landscaping, wow nature at its best!
rosal room is just right. we love the linen's fragrant smell but the throw pillow cases need to be laundried, it smells old & unwashed. the garbage can foot press is broken, needs to be changed because we had to hold the lid with our hands. the cabinet door knob is also being detached everytime we open, we had to put it back always. love the furnishings though. simple & classy.
the village design is well thought of. however, the stairs going up the dining is not for senior people though. you may want to have an elderly or handicap passage. i saw an elderly almost tripped along the staircases.
room attendants were so friendly & greeting us everytime they see us. they were very helpful & prompt. i didnt get the same from the female american manager though. was expecting she would lead what seems to be a standard friendly culture. i would just see her sit or talk to the staff but would not extend greetings.
i was apprehensive about no room phones & only bells, but i get it, it gives the personal service touch. i forgot the 'no tv cable' too bec the place is a sanctuary to be enjoyed.
dining agreed to re-heat & serve the roasted chicken we bought from sonya's garden, appreciate it. but breakfast was late. they should be ready atleast 10 minutes early. an elderly lost his patience not being attended to, all he needed was coffee. a number of us was seated but noone bothered to attend to the guests.
we saw the camp being set up with soft linens, make us want to try the camping experience next time.
what we enjoyed the most was the tai chi with querobee. that was the icing in the cake for us. querobee is a treasure. he is very accomodating & he didnt just teach us, he clearly explained the exercise. here's the great part, we gave him a cash tip but he refused to accept. we feel his genuine warmth, enthusiasm & service, what a guy! you should promote this man! he even sent us tea by the pool. going the extra mile is truly a key to an excellent service. we will definitely return to your place if only for people like querobee.
we definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs relaxation. kudos to a great place & team!
